We are back with a new review for you all! Langeneet - Kajastus ⚔️

Emerging from the deep and ever-fertile Finnish black metal underground, Langenneet is a one-man project formed sometime around 2020 by the sole member known as Langennut. As with many of Finland’s most compelling black metal entities, Langenneet operates in near-total obscurity, favoring anonymity and symbolism over visibility. From its earliest recordings, the project has been rooted in traditional black metal, filtered through occult philosophy and esoteric cosmology, with lyrics written primarily in Finnish. Before Kajastus, Langenneet established its identity through the debut full-length Kuilun varjoissa and the follow-up Aionin soihtu (2021), releases that combined raw aggression with ritualistic atmosphere and a strong conceptual backbone centered on fallen angels and metaphysical descent. Kajastus (2025) arrives as the project’s most focused and refined statement to date.

We got a new review for you all! Haeresis - Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum ⚔️

Haeresis is a post-black metal project from Berlin, Germany, formed in 2016. The word “haeresis” itself refers to an opinion that contradicts church doctrine. The band was active under the name “Heksenhammer” between 2015 and 2016 and is currently releasing its work through the well-known label Vendetta Records. Most of the members have previously played in several other bands. Over the years, Haeresis has released a self-titled demo, an EP titled “To Drown…,” and several singles. On October 10, 2025, their first full-length album, “Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum,” was released via Vendetta Records, marking a milestone in their discography.

We got a new review for you all! Nyrak - Phoenix Mortis ⚔️

Rising from Belgium’s ever-fertile extreme metal underground, Nyrak have quickly distinguished themselves as a band unwilling to be confined by orthodox black metal traditions. Formed in 2021 by multi-instrumentalist and orchestrator Guy “Nevel” Van Nieuwenhove, also known for his work with Gotmoor, Nyrak began as a studio project focused on blending black metal with cinematic orchestration and progressive ambition

We bring you 2025s last review! Mitternacht - Self-titled EP ⚔️

Mitternacht is a U.S. based black metal solo project formed in 2020 by the enigmatic Sigillvm, who handles all instruments, vocals, and production. Despite its German name meaning “midnight” the project is firmly rooted in the American underground, drawing heavily from the raw traditions of second-wave Scandinavian black metal while maintaining a fiercely independent, DIY ethos. Since its inception, Mitternacht has steadily carved out a presence through limited releases and tape-trading circles, beginning with the Blasphemous Warfare demo in 2021. Over the years, Sigillvm has continued refining the project’s sound through sporadic demos and splits, culminating in 2025 with the Barbarian Witchcult demo and now the self-titled EP Mitternacht. This release marks a defining moment for the project, presenting its most focused and confident material to date.

We are back with a new review! Unviâr - Disglaç ⚔️

This debut from Italian black metallers Unviar follows on from their 2023 EP and showcases the bands heavy fast atmospheric black metal, if you’re a fan of stuff like drudkh with more lead-y Finnish parts this is definitely a release for you.

Overall, this release manages to simultaneously be absolutely pummelling throughout while also giving room for space/ambience and slight tinges of weirdness

We are back with a new review! Lunar Amulet - Self-titled EP ⚔️

The self-titled debut EP plays less like a conventional release and more like a single, continuous spell broken into movements. The opening track “Invocation” sets the tone immediately, easing the listener into a world of soft synth currents and restrained guitar melodies. The production is warm and organic, favoring atmosphere over sharp aggression, and giving the EP a dreamlike, slightly obscured quality. Nothing here feels rushed; every idea is given space to breathe, repeat, and slowly take root. “Bones Beneath the Snow” and “Yoke of Oblivion” showcase Lunar Amulet’s core strength: patient, melodic riffing that leans on repetition as a meditative tool rather than a blunt instrument.

We got a new review for you all! Enthroned - Ashspawn ⚔️

Being a longtime fan of Enthroned, I was ecstatic to hear when they were coming out with Ashspawn because it had been about six years since Cold Black Suns had come out. I was very eager to hear new music from this band, as they have evolved into a more brutal and mid paced black metal band, capturing the essence of their old sound of speed and ferocity where it mattered most.

The first track, “Crawling Temples”, offers a hellish landscape with demonic voices and chanting spells of the Devil to come and infiltrate holy temples. It rips into a mid paced melody of spewing vocals coupled with ferocious riffs and blast beats to make this ensemble evil in true Enthroned fashion. It is perhaps one of my favorite tracks on this album because it is a strong opener of the album.

We got a new review for you all! Gravplåga - Maliferous Portents ⚔️

Gravplåga is a one-man black-metal project from Linköping, Sweden, created by Malignant Desecrator. Formed in 2025, the project follows a traditional underground approach, minimal promotion, raw sound, and a focus on atmosphere over unnecessary complexity. There’s nothing flashy or theatrical here. Gravplåga presents itself simply as a dedicated return to the cold, straightforward days of the second wave of black metal.

We got a new review for you all! Stworz - U Śmierci na Komornem ⚔️

With “U Śmierci na Komornem”, Stworz reaffirms its position as one of Poland’s most distinctive voices in pagan black metal. The album finds Swaikstan deepening the atmospheric, folk-infused direction that has long defined Stworz, but with a heightened sense of emotional clarity and compositional restraint. What emerges is a work that feels immaculately shaped. It's a slow-burning, immersive meditation on heritage, grief, and the solemn presence of death.
