After completing the build of a 1983 ex-ADF Unimog 1700L which we travelled in around Australia for 3 years, we purchased an ex-military 1975 Volvo C304 6x6 in Sweden.

Since coming back to Australia, we've been dreaming of coming back to this spot.

Last time we were there, Oakley was juste 7 months old baby so it was really special coming back as a family with a 3 year old toddler ❤️

One of the main reasons we came back to Australia 🚤

We really missed the amazing beach camping, spearfishing and our True Kit Inflatables.
We absolutely love that it's packed up on our cab roof and that we don't have to tow. We can take the Mog to the most remote beaches without having to worry about launching a boat from a trailer.

This boat has taken us on some epic multi-day island adventures in Queensland and it's been ideal for spearfishing from in WA. After 3 years of having no fresh fish, nabbing a bunch of delicious baldchin groper has been awesome!

Oakley loves eating the fresh fish! He's just not too sure about the smell though... How would you caption that last pic? 🤣

The best upgrade to stay off-grid for longer 🏝

After using our budget DIY separating toilet for years, it was time to upgrade to a real composting toilet. We chose the Cuddy by Compo Closet Australia:

✅️ Odor-Free : no smell inside thanks to the external ventilation kit
✅️ No messy black water tanks or chemicals to empty: no dump points for us!
✅️ Pee-full indicator: we never risk overflows.
✅️ Large solids & liquids capacity = less frequent emptying.
✅️ Compact and flush-mount backing to save space
✅️ No electronics = simple manual agitation

Now that all our camper upgrades are finished
It's time to go exploring Australia again!

How we feel about being back in Australia... ☀️

While we miss exploring in our Volvo 6x6 - Skaði; being back in our Unimog - Bowser, with our 3 year old boy is pure happiness ❤️

This truck has taken us to some amazing places all around this beautiful country!
We are currently revisiting our favourite ones, chasing the sun and making the most of the amazing beach camping Australia has to offer.

We missed our True Kit Inflatables and we are pumped for some more boat & spearfishing missions!

"My favorite food is pepper" 🫑

Not the answer I was expecting from my 3-year old 😆 It's such a nice stage where he wants to be helping so much 🥰

Absolutely stoked with the finished result of our "new" kitchen! We love the new bamboo look with black accents 👌

After years using a 240v right-hand hinge household fridge, having a dual hinge fridge makes life on the road a lot easier for us!
We are heading off-grid and we can fit so much food in our 200L Dometic RCD 10.5XET.
Being able to securely mount it gives us great piece of mind on corrugations and off-road (yes our old fridge flew out and crashed into our shower on the Frenchman's track 🙃).
It's also super quiet and we love that we can switch to Silent Mode at night to save even more power!

Next upgrades : the bathroom 🚽
