Jobs are more than just a paycheck; they are a pathway to stability, dignity, and self-expression. For LGBTQ+ people, especially transgender and nonbinary individuals, finding employment that affirms identity and values can be a daunting challenge. That is why The San Diego LGBT Community Center is proud to host Out & Connected: Empowering Professional Development Fair on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10am to 1pm at The Center, located at 3909 Centre Street in Hillcrest. Walk into The Studio Door art gallery and you will find more than paint on canvas or glass in the kiln. You will discover a living, breathing community of artists. Each person is at a different stage of their creative journey, yet they bound together by the shared rhythm of making. That sense of connection takes center stage in The Studio Door Studio Artists: Past & Present, an exhibition running September 4 – 26, 2025, that brings together 31 artists who have called the gallery home over the years. Think of it as a visual check-in. An opportunity to see how their work has grown, what inspires them now, and how this space has shaped their practice. Don’t miss the Artist reception tomorrow Saturday September 13 starting at 6pm.Read the full write up on the link below https://thewordsd.news/the-studio-door-studio-artists-past-present/
