Scotland has my heart! We’ve been here more times than we’d like to admit and I know for a fact we’ll be back to the Highlands. We can’t stay away.

Or for flights to a different country being cheaper than travelling to the next city by train 😂

If you’re struggling with expenses in the UK, you aren’t alone. Yes things are pretty expensive in the UK at this point. But there are hacks that you can use to reduce those bills right away.

1. Shop second hand across charity shops or Facebook marketplace
2. Avoid travelling during peak hours
3. Get loyalty cards wherever possible
4. Learn when supermarkets discount products

Is it just me or do half the things said in the UK make absolutely no sense? Look I’ve been here 5 years but i swear there are times I stare blankly at whoever’s speaking to me cuz I don’t have the faintest clue as to what they’re saying. Does this happen to you as well?

Lessons I learnt the hard way in the UK. 🇬🇧
- Had the idea to go to the beach on a bank holiday? So did the rest of the country!
- Make a reservation to the restaurant yu want to eat at. Because everyone else will.
- The UK is always understocked. So if you go to buy something just in time, assume it will be sold out.

Let’s talk about jobs that deserve a bigger pay cheque in the UK!

🍔 Fast Food Workers£ 25K/year�Making minimum wage while your fries somehow arrive in under three minutes.

🛍️ Retail Workers £25K/year�Folding the same T-shirt 27 times a day... because apparently the shelf wasn’t “neat enough.

☕ Baristas £24K/year�For getting your name wrong after you spelt it twice 🫤

📦 Warehouse Workers £28K/year�Basically getting paid to do CrossFit.

☎️ Call Centre Staff £27K/year�Apologising for things that happened before they were born.

Anyway... comment your job. Let’s see who’s really underpaid. 😂

Lessons I learnt the hard way in the UK - Part 2
- Getting warm water from a single tap in a basin is a luxury. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve lost sensation in my fingers.
- Your house will be too cold in winter and too hot in summer. Right now we’re at the too hot phase. Trying to buy ACs and failing. Come winter, we’ll curse the AC that’s taking up so much space.
- Don’t feed the ponies. No matter how cute they are. They will bite you. Unless you have carrot cake. Then they’ll fight you.
- Parking can cost an arm & a leg. I should know after paying for parking in London last week.
