Vegan diets alone cannot change the policies that allow the grave injustices committed against cows, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, and other non-human animals.

Vegan Politics is an initiative by Vegan Politico to highlight political candidates and elected officials who are vegan and to gage how they have or have not used their office to advocate for policy that recognizes non-human animal rights. Vegan Politico (Ryan O'Donnell) has organized Vegan Politics as a way to help vegan political candidates and elected officials receive the support they need fro

m the community to be elected and make progress towards a world without animal exploitation. Veganism must be a fully formed and functional political movement for justice in order to be effective at mitigating and eventually eliminating animal exploitation. As it currently stands, this is not a political committee. We do not organize fundraisers or make any political contributions. This is a community building initiative with a focus on civic engagement and education.
