Here are a few shots from last night’s camping trip! I only managed to catch one small channel cat, but hey—better than going home empty-handed. Pretty sure it was actually my first fish out of the Missouri River, which makes it even better. Vexx had an absolute blast, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. There’s just something special about fall camping! 🍂🎣🔥

The Garden spiders were cleaning up bugs on the creek! Love seeing it! Barely got bit by bugs. I don’t really see them in town.

I’ve been feeling a bit better lately and finally made it back out to do some fishing! After work, I swung by my boss’s old farm pond just to get a line wet and see what’s still kicking after this long drought. I was hoping for a channel catfish, but unfortunately, I had no luck there. The crappie seem to be thriving, though the bass are still stunted. I did spot a grass carp cruising around, so that’s something! Most of the fish I caught were little guys, but it still felt great to get out and enjoy some time by the water.
