We were curious about the early days of Japanese punk (new wave, experimental), and our friend Mika Yoneta-Flynn was kind enough to give some insight into her youth with a Trust playlist..Mika Yoneta-Flynn is an artist and musician currently splitting her time between Los Angeles and Tokyo. Originally from Tokyo, Mika moved to NYC in the early 90’s and later in the decade she became the singer in her own band PIXELTAN. Her playlist reveals her earliest influences.

Mika’s husband Devin Flynn aka RELM (KSN/AOK) is a world-renowned artist, who has works across fine art, graffiti, cartooning,and animation. He put together this banger of a t-shirt to celebrate this moment. It says “ToRaSuTo”, which is the phonetic breakdown of ”TRUST” in Katakana letters.
