Thirteen years after his untimely passing at just 34 years old, Ludwig Montesa remains one of the most beloved figures in New Paltz history. Known as the village’s “unofficial ambassador,” Ludwig had an extraordinary gift for making people feel welcome, loved, and accepted exactly as they were. His warmth, humor, compassion, and larger-than-life spirit left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Ludwig Love! is a documentary celebrating the life, legacy, and community that continues to carry his spirit forward. Through stories, memories, and reflections from friends and loved ones, the film captures what made Ludwig so special—and why his impact is still felt today.

Featuring interviews with Amanda Sisenstein, Allyson Ferrera, Terrence Ward, Patrick Brown, and Pete Crotty.

List of Remaining Consolidation Dates Starting with June 1st

As we head into June, here are the list of remaining consolidation dates starting with June 1st:

June 1st - Town and Village vote on whether to send the draft agreement to a public hearing
June 4th and July 2nd - Town Board meetings
June 17th, July 15th, and August 5th - Joint Town and Village Board meetings
July 7th, July 15th, and July 29th - Public Hearings
July 20th - Town and Village Boards to vote on whether to finalize the agreement
August 5th - Town and Village Boards to vote on whether to send the consolidation referendum to voters
November 3rd - Election Day
