Situated on a small tidal islet on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe, itโ€™s one of Scotlandโ€™s most iconic and well-preserved medieval tower houses.

Its name, โ€œStalker,โ€ comes from the Gaelic word โ€œStalcaire,โ€ meaning โ€œhunterโ€ or โ€œfalconer.โ€

Originally built around 1320 by the MacDougalls, it later became the seat of the Stewarts of Appin in the 1400s.

Castle Stalker has a striking backdrop of mountains and water, making it popular among photographers and fans of Scottish history.
