First Eastern with a Bow ✅…What’s meant to happen always arrives greater than I imagined.

Last weekend the team battled the rain with me on a archery turkey film that we are releasing Spring of 2026! Countless hours in the pouring down rain, and multiple times where it was “about to happen”.

After strategizing of where this bird was hanging out, everything connected perfectly for the greatest shot of my life. 25 yards with a decap straight to the neck goes a long way… I cannot wait to share my story with you, and how Jesus entered into my life.

Not today Wile E. ~

No more fawns, and no more poults for this one…Every animal is important. Coyotes play a role in balancing populations like our turkeys and fawns which we obviously hate to see…but that is just nature’s raw and relentless cycle of life. With an overpopulation in the area, it is our duty as hunters to not only hunt to balance, but to protect other species that need it the most to grow.

Still trying to wrap my head around what just happened…

I am very used to the game of battleship where you get up in a tree every evening and hope he plays the game, and honestly I think that is why I love bow hunting. It takes a while and in those moments you get to see a lot of things you’d never see on a couch. I think that’s why this moment is so special because even though the countless hours in a tree felt wasted in the moment, I had been on the hunt for him the whole entire 3 years of watching time go by.

With the LiDAR from .forge I was able to see things on his ridge that I wouldn’t have known with my own eyes. Picking a tree was hard, but when I understood there was a clear path straight to a feeding ground I knew the tree I was in had to be the one.

I will never forget this hunt. Praise God for Whitetail. 🤘
