WOW. Already int the second half of a month that usually drags ash, so we need to roll out our cover peeps before February up and leaves town ... congrats to Candace Avis, Dr. Greg Mesa and family and our friends at Full30Fit, Denise and Mark Hadley (and their high-flying son Ryan). Photos by Lynse Schmidt (Avis and Mesa) and Mike Searle (Hadleys). Looking great, kids!

LOOKIN' FOR LOVE in Monumental places ... if you're interested in sharing your local "Happily Ever After" story with Monument Living and Palmer Divide Living readers, it'll be included—as space allows, on a first-come, first-published basis—in the annual Valentine's Day feature in our February editions. 300 words or less (you'll have to cut right to the chase 😊), with accompanying photo of the lovebirds. This can be about you and your significant other, or can tell the story of friends of family members (with their permission, of course). Send your submission to [email protected]. Deadline: Tuesday, December 23. And as always with this stuff, don't be afraid to have a little fun with it!

FEBRUARY FUN ... featuring our friends Jim and Laurra Fitzgerald (yes, that's Laurra with two r's, just to be difficult 😜) and Kisa and Kevin Hancock. All denizens of the Tri-Lakes, and all seriously good people. We've also got "Love Stories" from a few local couples (just in time for Valentine's Day), along with a Business Profile article spotlighting Nathan and Barbi Carr (Carr Electric and Imago Dei Homeopathy ), with Marshmallow's Pet Corner featuring the aforementioned Hancock family's domestic menagerie. Andif that's not enough Hancock-age to suit you, we've got an educational AND entertaining (go figure!) Expert Contributor column from Kevin H. himself. Great subject matter, and great work by the team as always. See you next month!

DECEMBER'S CHILDREN (bonus points for anybody who nails the album reference without technical support) ... a lot of you are already familiar with P.K. and Reta Robinson's needs-no-embellishment story but if not, here you go (cover photo by Mike Searle). Gracing the last edition of Palmer Divide Living for 2024 are our friends Carol and Larry Chernin of Monument, with sweet photos by the inimitable Lynse Schmidt. Also included are an Expert Contributor column from the folks at A Better Hearing Center in Monument, a seasonally appropriate Marshmallow's Pet Corner, and scenes from goings-on around the area. Great work (as always) by editorial cat-herder Marissa Searle and graphic designer Brianna Fowler. And massive thanks to all y'all sponsors, without whom none of this monthly fun would be possible. Bless you, for real.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE (a little Pink-hued reference, for all of you keeping score at home) ... thanks and congrats to my old buddy Trent Lage and Lianro Metal Roofs of Palmer Lake, our newest Palmer Divide Living sponsors. Headquartered in Palmer Lake, the Lianro name has been around here for a long time, and we're happy to help get the word out to anybody who missed the memo thus far. (Photo by Mike Searle)

P.S. What do you call an overhead product that protects infants (and attractive women) from the elements?

"Babe Roof," of course. We'll be here all week!

Also included here are Business Profile articles introducing you to Shawndel Sievert of Honey, Tea and Me in Black Forest (ColoradoHoneyLady.com) and Lola's Art Studio in Monument (LolasArtStudio.com).

BIG-TIME CONGRATS to our inaugural cover subjects for 2024: Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Terri Hayes, and the regal-legal team of Brandi Jackson and Neil DeVoogd (Brandi goes first here due to her affiliation with the Vinton Law Firm, one of our much-appreciated sponsors). Great cover shots by our friends Krista Bobo and Herb Wetzel, as always. Also in the pages of our January editions are an Expert Contributor column from the good folks at A Better Hearing Center in Monument, Business Profile focusing on homeboy Logan Bryson and his LINE-X bedliner and truck accessories shop in Colorado Springs, a sneak preview of this Thursday's Stock Show kickoff cattle drive and a look at a few recent ribbon-cutting events around the neighborhood, and a recipe for some killer lemon chicken straight from Marissa's kitchen. Bon apetit, mes amies!
