The latest COVID-19 surge is bringing restrictions back to Santa Barbara County. Now some are blaming the unvaccinated.

Public Health officials said most of those getting sick are unvaccinated. As of July 20, the latest available data, unvaccinated people are getting sick 7 times more than vaccinated.

Goleta needs your help. The city is looking to teach its residents how to draw districts. New election districts will start in November 2022.

Monday evening at 6 p.m. the City of Goleta will host a districting workshop. The community will learn how to draw and submit ideas for district boundaries using online tools or a paper map.

🚨💉 GET VACCINATED 💉 🚨 TODAY is the last day Cottage Health will host their drive-thru clinic in Goleta. No appointment needed.
Clinic is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday July 29.

The low demand is why Cottage Health lessened their drive-thru clinics to one day a week. And Thursday, July 29, will be their last scheduled clinic.

This week two wine tasting room stables are closing in the Funk Zone, one with their fate unknown. On Sunday Oreana Winery closed its doors after two decades on Anacapa Street. Across the street, Santa Barbara Winery will be closing its doors Wednesday and moving locations.

🚧CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 🚧 Caltrans updated their construction plan. They also advise drivers to slow down to make it safer for other drivers and construction workers.

Construction on the 101 freeway through Carpinteria and Summerland is progressing. The project is expected to finish in 2023.
