✨ Imagine walking into a room and seeing 216 faces staring back at you. Different skin tones. Different hairstyles. Different stories. Yet all belonging to one city Hong Kong.

That’s exactly what artist Sophia Hotung created: a massive 3x6 meter mural capturing the real Hong Kongers beyond the stereotypes.

But here’s the twist Sophia wasn’t always an artist.
She was climbing the corporate ladder until illness forced her to pause. What could’ve been an ending became her turning point. With brush strokes and bold colors, she transformed her struggle into a spotlight, showing the world what resilience looks like.

Her work isn’t just art, it’s a message:
👉 Hong Kong isn’t one face.
👉 It’s a community of many stories.
👉 And those stories deserve to be seen.

At 62 years old, Chef Nobuhiro Sunada could have retired.
Instead, he’s rolling up his sleeves in Hong Kong, determined to introduce a dish many locals have never truly experienced: Tsukemen. 🍜✨

Unlike ramen, these noodles aren’t swimming in broth—they’re dipped, bite by bite, into a rich, flavorful soup. The result? A deeper, bolder taste that leaves people obsessed.

Customers can’t stop coming back. One diner told us:

“Ever since I found this place a couple weeks ago, I can’t stop thinking about it.”

Chef Sunada believes food doesn’t need to be complicated
“As long as diners feel the food is delicious, then that’s OK.” 🙌

But here’s the catch… Tsukemen shops like this don’t stay hidden for long. Once the secret’s out, the lines will stretch around the block.

They launched right in the middle of the COVID pandemic, not the easiest time to drop an Indian street-food takeaway in Hong Kong. But Vidur and Tanvir believed in the magic of their Kathi rolls. They wondered, “Would people actually crave this kind of Indian cuisine… would they still love it?” From screens and shuttered storefronts, they pushed forward.

Guess what happened?

Despite lockdowns, they were selling around 8,000 Kathi rolls every single month. Yes, you read that right, 8,000 rolls a month! Their secret? Passion, adaptability, and staying true to real, punchy street-food flavors far beyond butter chicken and garlic naan.

If you're into inspiring biz stories that taste like adventure this one’s for you.

After 3 long years, Hong Kong has finally opened its doors again, and the world is rushing back! 🌍 The Rugby Sevens marked the city’s first major international event since the pandemic, drawing in tourists from all over.

But as the streets fill with excitement once more, we can’t help but wonder… is Hong Kong still the vibrant, bustling city we all remember, or has it transformed into something different?

We hit the streets to ask tourists how they feel about the city’s revival, and the answers were surprising.

One visitor shared, "It’s been a struggle. But I feel having got past it, it's so nice to see Hong Kong open again." Another said, “Everywhere has changed. It’s great, I think it’s coming back.” 🌟

But not everyone is sure it’s the same. “It’s quiet right now, not as lively, but it’s coming up again,” said one tourist, still hopeful but unsure.

From quieter times to the buzz of major events, Hong Kong is slowly coming back to life. The energy is building, but is it the same? The shining Pearl of the Orient may have changed… but is it for the better? ✨

“Each wonton noodle has a soul.”

That’s not just a saying, it’s the philosophy of Chef Ying Gor, the heart behind Ying Kee in Kwun Tong.

He started as a trainee, working day after day, until one day he opened his own restaurant. Today, Ying Kee serves over 200 bowls of wonton noodles every single day each one made with the same care, patience, and soul. 🍜

This isn’t fast food. This is tradition. This is Hong Kong’s nostalgia served in a bowl. A dish that makes tourists return, and locals proud.

When you take that first bite, you’re not just tasting noodles you’re tasting history, passion, and a chef’s lifelong dedication.
