When I first started planning content for clients, I definitely didn’t have everything figured out.
Here are 3 mistakes I used to make - and what I do differently now:
❌ 1. Posting without a clear goal
I used to create content just to “fill the feed” without thinking about what the post was actually for.
Now I always start with a goal:
Is this to educate, engage, or build trust?
❌ 2. Overcomplicating the content plan
I used to try and plan too much at once, which made everything feel overwhelming.
Now I keep it simple with clear content themes and a realistic posting schedule.
❌ 3. Not thinking from the audience’s perspective
I used to focus too much on what looked good, instead of what the audience actually needed or wanted to see.
Now I always ask:
“Would this actually be helpful or interesting to them?”
The biggest shift for me was realizing content doesn’t need to be perfect - it just needs to be intentional.
