Tommy Makgatho quit his waitering job to start Bibi Cash & Carry with a bootstraped budget about over 35 years ago. Today he has created employment of over 800 people with more than R600 million turn over in 2015 from his 6 outlets in the Free State and one in Gauteng. Bibi Cash & Carry is ranked as the largest black owned retail companies in South Africa.

The story behind his companies name , he says his son struggled pronouncing his sisters name (Nwabisa) so he just called her 'Bibi' and so he thought if it's easy for a child to say Bibi then it will be easy for everyone else...

Jabu was unknown until he landed a role as "Gunman" in SABC 1 drama series "Yizo Yizo".His performance from that drama series made him one of Mzansi's favourites as many young people could relate to his character.He then landed few acting roles in Crazy Safari, The Long Run , Jacob's Cross ,A place called home , Zabalaza ,Jerusalema ,Gold diggers , Generations , AboMzala ,Ses'Top La , Thandeka's diary and many more.However his role as "Bazooka Khumba" in SABC 1 drama series "Zone 14" won South Africa's hearts and increased his fan base.He was also featured in DJ Vetkoek vs Mahoota with Mawillies in their song "Phuliqolo" in 2008.He then got a job as "Skhumba" in ekasi sitcom "Vat 'n Sit".He was one of Mzansi's best actors and South Africans were shocked to find out that he had committed suicide.May his soul continue to rest in peace.

FAKE COPS ARRESTED FOR KIDNAPPING:

Members of SAPS
Pta West VCIU were busy with investigations, driving with two unmarked vehicles along the R80 highway direction to Soshanguve, outside Pretoria.

Members spotted a suspicious white VW Gold 7 with four occupants.

The vehicle was tested and it came out as a BMW.

They stopped the vehicle at the off-ramp to Rosslyn. Upon stopping the vehicle, the passenger on the rear left exited the vehicle and approached the police. The members ordered the suspect to immediately stop and informed the remaining suspects to get out of the vehicle. One male remained inside. The individual was tied up with cable ties. The members than noticed an AK47 assault rifle, on the floor inside the vehicle, front passenger side.

The male said he was just kidnapped by four men. He mentioned that they presented themselves to be police officers from the Hawks.

The four men were asked to identify themselves, and whether they police officers.

They all identified themselves as civilians and non of them were police officers.

All four suspects were contained and arrested.

The vehicle was searched and the following exhibits were found: an unlicensed AK47 rifle & ammunition, police dashboard blue light, vehicle fitted with police siren, two t-shirts with police and Hawk emblems and vehicle registration plates.

The suspects face charges including kidnapping and possession of unlicensed fi****ms and ammunition.

🚨 Six Suspects Arrested for Cable Theft and Infrastructure Damage – Gauteng 🚨

A joint operation involving Deka Specialized Services, Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (WC), AfriForum Krugersdorp, Joint Ops Group, with multiple security agencies led to the arrest of six suspects linked to cable theft and damage to essential infrastructure.

The suspects fled after being caught in the act, prompting a coordinated response from all units. Four suspects were apprehended in Noordheuwel, another was found hiding nearby, and the sixth was arrested following a vehicle chase in Muldersdrift, where officers recovered stolen cables.

All six suspects now face charges of malicious damage to infrastructure, cable theft, and contravening the Immigration Act.
