Two questions:

1. What should we wonder about or wander through next on the podcast? It’s still wild to me that y’all have let me wander through all these ideas (and figure some out along the way as I did) and keep on listening!

2. If you’ve been listening and like what you hear, would you vote for God Knows Where in Best of the Pinebelt again this year? Like or comment and I’ll message you the link! (Or you can peak up in my stories for it).

After a day of rest, back with another little thought for the day from a previous episode. This one’s from our VBS series and a look at Ruth. Don’t know about you but I feel like I’m full and empty at the same time all the time these days.

New episode out tomorrow wherever you listen.

Like my parents always said, “I’ll trust you until you give me a reason not to…” There are PLENTY of reasons folks give up on or avoid this journey. Let’s not let it be because we’re untrustworthy.

P.S. looking back at all these old episodes, I’m remembering how much I enjoyed the Wayfinding series this one came from. Check it out.

Hear me out.

I think the words on that pin are really good news. And, I think they’re backed up by the stories we’re told about Jesus’ life. We just like to ignore the parts of those stories that remind us of how unliked (maybe even unlikable), unpopular, and unbothered he was by all the things we like to think make us winners. We focus so much on his triumph over death, that we lose sight of just how much he lost (or never had) up until that point.

Strangely enough, I think it’s all that losing and lacking that made that final victory possible. If he’d had all we strive for in search of success, he might not have won. So, I guess I’m saying I’m glad he was a loser (can I say that?) and I want to explore why we all should be too in this next series from Listen wherever you get your podcasts.
