URGENT HUMAN RIGHTS APPEAL: Bring My Children Home
Today, on International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2025, I launch an urgent appeal for a safe and immediate return of my children (aged 14 and 9).
On or about October 2025, the children were unlawfully removed from my residence in Nairobi, Kenya. This non-consensual removal was orchestrated by Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, a U.S. citizen, in coordination with the children's mother, who resides in Australia. Furthermore, Lol deliberately altered the children's official identification, removing my name and replacing it with his own, a clear act of identity erasure. This entire course of action constitutes a severe violation of the children's fundamental rights, including, but not limited to, Article 9 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
For me, justice seems impossibly far, yet also terribly close, as the avenues of law have failed.
I demand immediate intervention. I acknowledge this case is now before the South Sudan judiciary, and I call upon them to URGENTLY expedite the judicial process and swiftly order the reunion of my children with me, upholding their best interests.
I also urge Kenyan Authorities to cooperate fully and the U.S. Department of State to monitor the proceedings involving its citizen, Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth.
This is a critical human rights violation against my family. I urge all international organizations to monitor this process for transparency and accountability. My children must be brought back home to me.
