💡 Funding available for Australia Day 2026 community events

Council is offering financial support for local organisations hosting small community events in the Tweed Shire within 3 days either side of Australia Day 2026.

💵 Funding levels
Support is based on the expected number of attendees:
· category 1 – $300 for events with up to 149 participants
· category 2 – $400 for events expecting 150–249 participants
· category 3 – $500 for events with 250 or more participants.

✅ Eligibility requirements
Organisations must:
· be located in the Tweed and provide an event outline
· be incorporated and hold public liability insurance
· ensure the event is open to the public
· list the event on https://brnw.ch/21wW2nv
· acknowledge Council’s support in promotions and on the day.

📅 Key dates
· apply by Friday 10 October 2025 via Council’s Australia Day webpage
· applications will be reviewed by the Tweed Shire Australia Day Awards Selection Panel in late October.

We support our participants’ journey through life challenges with multi-disciplined services that include Disability Employment Services.
We aim to achieve sustainable outcomes for our participant through an Integrated Employment Service model that is individualised and participant centered, led by a team of highly specialised Community Support Consultants.
Our experienced employment services staff work closely with each participant to deliver high quality Disability Employment Services for participants that are looking for support with their injury, illness, or disability to find employment, retain employment thorough our tailored post placement support and ongoing support services and for participants who are seeking support to retain their employment through our Work Assist
Films by Morrissey films programs.
Our Consultants work within the community, building and fostering relationships with Employers, Community Groups, Health Care and Allied Health Care Professionals, Advocacy Groups and others to ensure that our clients receive not only assistance in securing and maintaining employment, but that they also receive holistic support so that they can thrive both professionally and personally.
