I grew up in Manette, and the Boat Shed is part of my family’s story. I worked here as a teenager, my son worked here, and my nephew works here now. This place is a hometown institution. ❤️
On a sunny day, sitting out on that deck with the Manette Bridge in view, a ferry passing by, and a cold cocktail in your hand… you’ll understand why I love where I’m from.
Here’s my move: order the PNW clams in wine, butter, garlic, and seasonings. GET THE BREAD. When the clams are gone, that broth still has work to do. I’m not letting a drop leave with the dishwasher. 😂🥖
We also had a delicious Dungeness Crab Louie with fresh, crisp veggies and a bowl of their famous clam chowder—big clams, chunky potatoes, and so much flavor. Add a cocktail made with fresh watermelon juice, a little breeze off the water, and I could’ve stayed all afternoon.
They’ve got steaks and pastas for dinner, too, but clams on that deck will always have my heart.
