🚨HUGE CASE UPDATE!!!🚨

Jeanie Kassandra Ditty has FINALLY been found guilty of murdering her daughter, Macy Grace Ditty. Per ABC News 12:

"More than a decade after the death of her two-year-old child, a Cumberland County jury has found Jeanie Kassandra Ditty guilty of first-degree murder.

The jury reached its verdict Thursday after a trial that began earlier this month.

Judge James S. Carmical sentenced Ditty to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder conviction.

Jurors also found Ditty guilty of felonious child ab*se inflicting serious bodily injury. She received an additional sentence of 157 to 201 months for that charge.

Court records show the child abuse sentence will run consecutively to the life sentence, meaning it begins after the life sentence is complete. Ditty had pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The convictions are connected to a 2015 Fayetteville Police Department investigation into the death of Macy Grace Ditty.

Ditty was arrested in March 2016 and charged with first-degree murder and felony child ab*se inflicting serious bodily injury. Her first trial, in 2020, ended with a hung jury, leaving both charges unresolved and leading to this retrial.

According to an arrest warrant in that case, Ditty is accused of striking a 2 year old child in the face and head, causing visible injuries. The warrant also alleges ongoing physical ab*se and unsafe treatment."
