CNHS United Hoopers Dominate Jayobo Farm School to Clinch Intramurals Basketball Championship, 62–48

Caninguan National High School (CNHS) United Hoopers emerged victorious with a decisive performance against Jayobo Farm School in the Intramurals District Meet Basketball Boys Championship, held at the CNHS Gymnasium on September 12. Showcasing their dominance from the opening quarter, CNHS secured a commanding 62–48 victory.

From the tip-off, the CNHS Hoopers established control, ending the first quarter with a 15–4 lead, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Jayobo Farm School struggled to find their rhythm, facing a tough CNHS defense and efficient offensive plays.

CNHS carried their momentum into the second quarter, extending their lead to 32–18. Their cohesive teamwork and strategic ex*****on proved too much for Jayobo to handle. However, the quarter was marred by an unfortunate incident when a Jayobo Farm School player suffered an ankle injury while attempting a layup with just two minutes left.

Although Jayobo showed resilience in the third quarter, they were unable to significantly close the gap. CNHS maintained their advantage, finishing the period ahead 42–33.

In the final quarter, CNHS sealed the victory with consistent scoring and solid defense, closing the game with a final score of 62–48.

The CNHS Hoopers displayed exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the game, earning them the title of Intramurals District Meet Basketball Boys Champions.

“We came in with a clear strategy and stuck to it. We knew we had to play as a team, and that’s exactly what we did. This championship means a lot to us, and we’re excited for what’s next,” said CNHS coach Jhandel Lindayao.

The Jayobo Farm School coach also praised CNHS:

“CNHS played a great game. They were well-prepared and capitalized on our mistakes. The injury of our player in the second quarter definitely impacted our momentum. We’ll learn from this experience and come back stronger next year.”

The CNHS players and coaching staff celebrated their well-deserved win, marking a significant achievement for the school’s basketball program. The team’s performance has set a high standard for future competitions and brought pride to the entire Caninguan NHS community.

Meanwhile, the Jayobo Farm School team, despite the loss, showed great sportsmanship and resilience, vowing to return stronger in the next season.
