Job Offer: Film Market & PR Assistant - Marché du Film, Cannes 2025

ENTRY LEVEL or PAID INTERNSHIP.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Film Market & PR Assistant to join our team for an exciting opportunity during the Cannes Film Market. This entry-level PR assistant role offers hands-on experience in the preparation and ex*****on of the Market.

Locations: Montreal, QC. (75% in-person, 25% virtual) and Cannes, France (100% in-person).

Duration:

April 1st to May 9th in Montreal: Preparation phase, including managing heavy correspondence, booking and coordinating meetings, and organizing the press and events calendar for a team of 7 to 9 people.

May 11th-22nd: Attend the Marché du Film in Cannes, France and assist with daily on-site operations, ensuring smooth coordination of meetings, events and red carpets.

Responsibilities:

Handle pre-market logistics, including organizing schedules and managing communications.
Coordinate meetings with industry professionals, sales agents, financiers, clients, and press representatives.
Assist in maintaining the events calendar for the team, ensuring deadlines and meetings are met.
Provide on-site support during the Marché du Film, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Qualifications:

Must be bilingual in English and French; Spanish is a must.
Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and proactive nature.
Strong social skills and ability to work and network well in a dynamic team.
Ability to handle long hours during the market and work effectively under pressure.
Strong interest in public relations, promotion and calendar management.
Previous PR, event coordination, or film industry experience is a plus, but not required.
A passion for film and the Cannes Film Festival is highly preferred.

What we offer:

Hourly or daily rate.
Flight, accommodation, accreditation, and per diem provided.
Flexible hours: 75% in-person, 25% hybrid during the preparation phase. 100% in-person, in cannes, France.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to experience the biggest film market and film festival, learn from international relations, and be part of a dynamic team.
