According to TMZ, Donald Trump is “seriously considering” commuting Sean “Diddy” Combs’ 50-month federal prison sentence — and could make a decision as early as this week.

Sources inside the White House reportedly told TMZ that Trump has discussed the idea with close aides, though several staff members are urging him not to move forward due to the optics. Still, the source added, “Trump will do what he wants.”

Diddy was sentenced earlier this month to four years and two months after being convicted of violating the Mann Act — which prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. He has reportedly served about 13 months so far.

If approved, the commutation would shorten Diddy’s prison time but would not erase his conviction. A full pardon, on the other hand, would completely wipe the record — though there’s no indication Trump is considering that at this time.

The White House and Department of Justice have not confirmed any clemency action, but the report has already sparked major debate online about justice, celebrity privilege, and Trump’s pattern of headline-grabbing clemency moves.

All eyes now on Washington — and whether Trump will actually make the call.
