Next Saturday, September 20th at we’re celebrating the works of guest of honor David Prior, with screenings of “The Autopsy” from Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, festival favorite AM1200, and a rare big screen showing of his feature film The Empty Man, revolving around a monstrous mind virus that may also be an avatar of Nyarlathotep (we’ll let David talk about that in the Q&A).

This is the kind of thing you can get, when you back out yearly Kickstarter. There is some truly unique artistry in each year’s campaign from many community artists, like Liv Rainey-Smith.

I'm close to finishing refinements on the Angel of Dagon, but the Kickstarter is ending in about an hour and a half, so I thought I'd better share before it's too late to nab a first edition. At this point, most of what remains is lightening the tone of the limbs, abdomen, legs, and tail. Plus going through and cleaning up any bits of wood that are sticking out/clinging to the carved portions. I'm really thrilled with how this piece is turning out and looking forward to seeing it printed!
