Rip to the late, great “Hitman” Howie Tee, a pioneer of golden age hip-hop and regular collaborator of fellow icons like Chubb Rock and Special Ed.

True to his nickname, Hitman was the architect of a multitude of timeless hits across genres, producing tracks like “I Got It Made”, “Ya Bad Chubbs” and “Romantic Call”, and co-producing others like “I Wanna S*x You Up”.

Ozzy was a legend of hard rock and heavy metal, with a celebrated career spanning decades. From Iron Man to Crazy Train, his songs were epic and emotionally resonant. Salute to Mr. Osbourne for his decades of contributions. 🫡

R.I.P. Tito Jackson, who was not only an integral part of the legendary Jackson 5 but also responsible for the very underrated group 3T, consisting of his sons Tariano, Taryll, and Tito Joe.

When I remember Tito, I always think of the scene in the Jacksons American Dream where Joe (played masterfully by Laurence Hilton-Jacobs) whoops Tito for playing his guitar without permission, then makes him play, then buys him one after being impressed by his skill. Questionable parenting aside 😅, it foreshadowed TJ’s talent as a great guitarist who loved the blues.

Rest in peace to the great Fatman Scoop, whose voice got crowds jumping on their feet for decades. Every few years I could get my hands up a little higher as I got higher denominations in my pocket, though I’ve generally leveled off at 20 nowadays 🙂
