FAT Mankei Porsche Meeting 2026. What a great time once again – two days of cruising around, meeting people, and photographing a few cars alone on the road in the early morning. What could be better? This time, alongside the many modern winged monsters, some absolute rarities showed up: a 550 Spyder once piloted by Ken Miles, and the ONS Recaro 914/6. The squad founded by Linge in 1972 for Germany’s motorsport governing body (ONS) is considered the first mobile track safety crew, and its fast response cars saved the lives of many drivers. Tucked away in a corner was also a Porsche 356 that took a class win at the Nürburgring 1000 km race.

A bunch of Carrera GTs and 918 Spyders, plus 95 Porsches that made the trip all the way from the Porsche Club of Poland, rounded things off. The Porsche Museum brought out the big guns and unloaded three GT1s. Almost unnoticed, a VW Beetle club run joined the lineup as well – proof that you can have a blast with just 36 hp…

Three weeks in Taiwan. Countless miles. The whole Porsche portfolio in motion. A great challenge—and an even greater experience.

Our favorite? The 718 Spyder RS. Our ultimate Porsche.

And, probably to the surprise of many of you, the all-electric Macan GTS came in a very close second.

But what made this journey truly unforgettable wasn’t just the driving. It was the incredible Porsche people and the amazing Porsche community in Taiwan—welcoming, passionate, and with us every step of the way. Thank you for making CURVES Taiwan so special.

Three weeks in Taiwan. Countless miles. The whole Porsche portfolio in motion. A great challenge—and an even greater experience.

CURVES — Taiwan

3,000 kilometers. Two laps around Taiwan. Three weeks of soulful driving.

Taiwan changes by the minute: towering mountain ranges, deep gorges, roads carved into rock, dramatic coastlines and endless jungle. Passes climb beyond 3,400 meters. Nature doesn’t decorate the landscape—it dominates it.

The leaves are human-sized. Warning signs mention killer bees and snakes. Somewhere in between, 120 dB cicadas scream so loudly even an RS—or an EV—starts wondering if everything here is just naturally this loud.

June? Somewhere between monsoon and convection oven. You’re either soaked from the outside or cooked from the inside. Sometimes both. Rain swallows entire mountains. Minutes later, the sun evaporates everything again.

And that’s exactly what makes Taiwan so special. Nothing feels polished, predictable or tamed. Just raw presence. The kind that stays with you long after you’ve left.

We drove the all-electric Cayenne, the 718 Spyder RS, the new 992.2 GTS, the Macan GTS ICE and the all-electric Macan GTS—a proper reality check for Porsche’s current balancing act.

The biggest surprise? The Macan GTS. Air suspension, instant torque and mountain roads that suddenly made perfect sense. And the Ruby Star 718 Spyder RS? Hard to argue there’s much beyond it. For us, quite possibly the finest Porsche ever built.

The people were incredibly welcoming, the Porsche community unforgettable, and the food... dangerously good. Dumplings, beef noodle soup, street food, tonkatsu, Peking duck. The cars definitely left Taiwan sitting about 5 mm lower.

Thank you, Porsche Taiwan, Porsche Club Taiwan, the entire Porsche community, Philipp Heitsch, MADVNZ, and every CURVES fan who made this journey possible.

Taiwan is a hidden champion. Not just a place you drive through—but one that stays with you.

Curves Taiwan - 14 days in the road - still 10 to drive around a great island. Jungle roads, coastal drives and alpine drives up to 3200 meters - all packed in distances you can drive within a few hours. Taiwan has a great car scene from all generations - everywhere we show up with our Porsches people give us a big smile. Weather switches from supersunny to plum rain within hours. Can be a bit challenging. And food is just amazing everywhere … stay tuned …

Curves Taiwan

The first few days were a bit rainy, so we set off slightly later than planned. Northeast Taipei is a true corner-carving paradise for the pros. Taiwan could also be described as an island-sized version of the Nürburgring Nordschleife – the Green Hell in extra-large format. The island is also home to a fantastic Porsche community, which we had the pleasure of meeting in our very first days here.

We’ve been on the road for three days now – it’s been a dream: peak summer, fantastic food along the way, and freshly paved roads everywhere. After the new Macan GTS, we’ve now switched to the 992 GTS. Next week we continue with our »Endstufengerät«, the GT4 RS Spyder, and the new Cayenne Turbo …

Painted Love! Porsche Racing Culture.

For the last few months, a dream came true — working on a project I had in mind for the last few years.

There is hardly any book available on liveries. With great support from Porsche Marketing and the Porsche Museum team, we started the first chapter of a series of books about the story of Porsche liveries. This appetizer book — only available at Icons of Porsche: Sunstede, Heizr, Autostadt Pavillon and Porsche Brand Store — is the first of a series. In late fall you can expect two fully loaded pieces of up to 600 pages; next year, customer cars to Sonderwunsch craziness will be coming up. You can imagine how great this project is, documenting cars from the 550 Panamericana, 935s, 917s to the newest generation of painted love cars … Stay tuned
