RIP ME, LOL directed by Calleen Koh is officially making its WORLD PREMIERE x SINGAPORE PREMIERE at the Singapore International Film Festival - SGIFF in the Southeast Asian Short Film Competition!

The lore setup: What happens when Asian vengeful female spirit folklore gets a Gen-Z update? You’re officially cooked, chat. 💀📱

Set in Singapore 2025, the film explores the dark digital epidemic of image-based sexual abuse against young girls in online spaces like Telegram. We follow our protagonist, Megan, who unalived herself after falling victim to a cyber leak—navigating the immediate, haunting aftermath through a fiercely modern lens.

This Mid-Autumn Festival is an extra special one for us, with the Singapore International Film Festival - SGIFF just announcing that Nelson Yeo’s THE HOUSE ON THE MOON《明月共此时》will serve as the Opening Film for the Foreground section!

After traveling across borders, bringing this story home to our local audience for its Singapore premiere is the warmest feeling. Celebrating our Singapore premiere as part of a section dedicated to reinventing popular cinema and genre storytelling makes this moment particularly meaningful to us. Ever wondered what Chang Er is really doing on the moon right now? 👁️👄👁️

For millennia, Chang Er has inspired Mid-Autumn traditions as a timeless icon of longing and quiet separation… Until director Nelson Yeo dropped a character expansion pack in THE HOUSE ON THE MOON 《明月共此时》. Taking Chang Er beyond her isolated palace, the film sends her on an introspective odyssey across the dark side of the moon, exploring the outer limits of identity and memory.

Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival tomorrow, we wish you an evening filled with delicious mooncakes, quiet wonder, and good company—wherever in the universe you find yourself. 🥮✨

The journey continues! We’re honored to announce that Nelson Yeo's THE HOUSE ON THE MOON《明月共此时》will make its North American Premiere at the Hawai‘i International Film Festival!

We’re also thrilled to be nominated for the Kau Ka Hōkū Award (presented by Hawaiian Airlines), which honors emerging international filmmakers on their first or second feature. 🌺
