Another band of rain is expected to move in from the west throughout the day, bringing some very heavy downpours at times. Up to 10mm of rain could fall in just an hour or two in some areas.

🏆 For the Munster Hurling Championship, spells of heavy rain are forecast from around lunchtime onwards. I’ll be monitoring the radar throughout the afternoon and can let you know if rain is heading your way.

A low pressure system is forecast to push over Ireland throughout tomorrow bringing very wet conditions.

The main band of rain is expected to push in from the south west after lunch this afternoon and is forecast to bring 30-40mm in parts of the south with over 60mm forecast on higher ground in Waterford on the Comeragh Mountains!

Many areas in the south are forecast to see over 20mm in 24 hours. Further north amounts exceeding 10mm is forecast in 24 hours.
