KAPAUN GETS ITS TITLE: For the first time since 1987, the Crusaders are back on top in the football world. It's head coach Weston Schartz's first state championship in his career.

The Crusaders finally played their 13th game, perhaps the most impressive of them all, as Kapaun dominated longtime Class 4A powerhouse, the Bishop Miege Stags, 56-21 to clinch the 4A title at Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University.

THUNDER TAKES 2A REMATCH: Southeast of Saline falls just short of back-to-back perfect seasons at the hands of the Nemaha Central Thunder Saturday.

Last year, they lost the championship to Southeast of Saline - this year, they capped a perfect season.

CUNNINGHAM 'CATS ARE BACK: The Cunningham Wildcats are the kings of 6-man football once again in the state of Kansas. They take down the defending champion Weskan to win their second title in three years.

The Cunningham Wildcats avenge last years state title loss to Weskan with the dominant 51-8 win over defending 6-man champions. The Wildcats cap off a perfect season with their second state title in just three years.

Another high school football season in the books for Catch It Kansas! After 15 different CIK shows since August, we end with six local schools all bringing home state championships on the gridiron. 🏈

Congrats on a great year! Rachel Hallam, Gabriela Hernandez and I will see you in six days for our first winter show out on the hardwood!

MUSTANGS RUN 5A: For the first time since 2017, a team from 5A West is the 5A State Champion. The Salina Central Mustangs got it done with a massive 2nd half performance from their future D1 wrestler running back. Story, highlights, photos and more here:

The future Div. I wrestler Cooper Reves stacked on more than 200 yards and four touchdowns to end his final game with 250 yards on 30 carries.

PARTY LIKE ITS 1982: The Sterling Black Bears have reached the pinnacle of class 1A thanks to a massive rushing day for Zane Farney and some late game heroics in the air. Highlights, photos, story and more here:

The winning touchdown might have came in the air, but the game was won on the ground, on the back of senior halfback Zane Farney. Farney rushed for 279 yards on 27 carries.

Andale quarterback Samuel Harp put on a show in his final game donning the gold and yellow in the Class 3A state title game.

Zane Farney isn't just the top Class 1A running back, he's one of the leading rushers in Kansas. Now, he's leading the Sterling Public Schools USD 376 high school football team to their first championship game since 1982.

SALINA CENTRAL IS BACK IN THE DANCE: For the first time in two decades, the Salina Central Mustangs are playing in a state championship game after upsetting 1-seed Great Bend.

Aggressive play calls that resulted in a pair of touchdowns helped the Mustangs pull off a 30-28 upset to advance to next Friday’s state championship game in Emporia.
