Operating since 2003, Blackhead Studios are a globally respected mastering and mixing studio in Berlin, Germany. We offer a range of mixing and mastering services to artists, creators, publishers and record labels who wish to enhance the performance and presentation of their music. Led by Klas ‘Sasse’ Lindblad, our team of audio engineers now resides at Novalisstrasse in the vibrant Mitte district

. Our IRT certified studio was built in 1990 for ARD (German Public Broadcast Company). Refurbished in 2016 to create a modern audio production suite, consisting of three rooms, each fully equipped with the finest analog equipment from KNIF, Gyraf, Maselec & Bettermaker as well as state of the art Genelec and Amphion monitoring. Some artists who have loved our work include Fatboy Slim, Booka Shade, Maceo Plex, Henrik Schwarz, Rodriguez Jr, Dr. Dru, Hot Since 82, Michael Mayer, Eats Everything, and Tensnake. We are proud to list Native Instruments, Southern Fried Records, Radikon, Knee Deep In Sound, Mobilee and Ellum Audio amongst our regular clients.

Exactly 20 years at Blackhead Studios original location w , my (then baby son) ._ and me juicing up some productions in Pro Tools HD with the classic 1032 as monitoring. Lots of celebrations ahead for 2026, but for now thank you for the amazing year 2025. Time flies in good company and with good music ❤️

As an innovative Pro-Audio Studio in Berlin, BlackHead Studios offers professional audio production, mixing and mastering services to artists, publishers and record labels. We work with analog and digital tools, making the best out of your productions using both worlds. Offering hi-end analog outboard for mixing and mastering and retaining the precision of digital plug-ins for pre- and post production and final content delivery, we make sure to deliver the best possible results. Located in Mitte, Berlin, our studio premises are IRT (Institut für Rundfunktechnik) certified and provides perfect acoustic surrounding with hi-end monitoring by Genelec and Amphion for all your audio production needs.
