Here's how pastors get to skip the hardest part about building a coaching business.

Contrary to popular belief, the hardest part isn't the offer or building a funnel. In fact, the hardest part about building a coaching business isn't even the content.

The hardest part about running a profitable coaching business is earning trust.

Most coaches invest years of posting, showing up and proving that they're credible before anyone is willing to hand them money.

Pastors have already done that.

When a pastor decides to launch a coaching business, they're not doing so in a vacuum. They're doing this after years of teaching every weekend. It comes after hundreds, if not thousands of repetitions in learning how to structure a teaching that leads someone from confusion to clarity.

It comes after late night phone calls. Hospital visits. Sitting across from someone in the worst season of their life and helping them find their way out.

It comes after building small groups out of strangers who now call each other family.

In other words, most pastors have already been running a "coaching business" for free for years.

This is why my students are able to launch brand new programs in as little as a week with just 900 followers and generate $5,000 without running a single ad.

The trust was already there, it just never had anywhere to go.

If you're thinking about running a coaching program and would like some help, I'm opening up a few slots on my schedule for free implementation calls.

Just reach out if that's you.

Why would someone with 41,000 followers think of quitting social media?

Well, the truth is... unless you know what to do with them... 41,000 followers is worth $0.

When I first met Eunice, she knew she needed to launch a coaching program... but was terrified.

Scared of looking like a fool, scared of launching "wrong," and scared that after years of pouring herself into her passion... that she'd eventually have to get a "real job."

When she was finally ready to move forward, I walked her through my Turning Conversations Into Cash Training.

And then she posted on Instagram, just once.

Four leads came in.

She got on those calls and landed her very first coaching client.

$1500 from one post, because someone finally taught her what to say.

That exact training that I guided Eunice through is now inside the Tentmaking Mastermind.

And I'm offering a free 30 day trial to anyone who wants access to that Workshop.

In one hour, you'll get immediate clarity on how to turn your next conversation into your first paying client.

Comment "trial" bellow this post and I'll hook you up with 30 days of FREE access in the Tentmaking Mastermind.

I'm going to be a little vague here.

For the last couple of years, my wife and I have been supporting some missionaries in a part of Southeast Asia that has historically seen persecution. We've considered it a privilege.

This morning I got a text from one of them.

Without going into the details, they're parting ways with the parent organization they've been working with for almost a decade. A "matter of conscience and policy."

Because of how the relationship was structured, it meant losing access to their housing, their vehicles, and most of the donor base they spent years building.

He wasn't panicking. But he was asking.

Could I pray about increasing my support?

I told him yes without hesitation.

But here's why I'm sharing this with you...

I hear versions of this story all the time. Not from missionaries overseas. From pastors right here in the United States.

A church goes in a "different direction." Donors pass away. Budgets get cut.

And a pastor who gave years of faithful service finds himself asking, "Can I actually afford to keep doing ministry?"

This is exactly why I started the Tentmaking Mastermind.

I help faithful men and women of God do ministry for the rest of their lives... even if that means never drawing a salary from a local church again.

The pastors I work with take the expertise they've already spent years developing and build online coaching programs around it. Some help newlyweds build strong marriages. Some walk people through addiction and recovery. Some coach young people figuring out their purpose.

They keep doing exactly what God equipped them to do. They reach people outside the walls of a local church. And they actually get paid to do it.

Both things at once.

This week inside the Mastermind, I'm teaching a workshop called "Turning Conversations Into Cash."

And I just want to acknowledge the obvious. That title feels off.

Most of the pastors I work with are a little allergic to the idea of "sales." I get it. The word carries a lot of baggage.

So here's what this workshop is actually about.

How do you have a real conversation with someone about their area of need and your unique ability to help... without feeling like you're gatekeeping the gospel? Without relying on manipulation. Without becoming the snake oil salesman you despise.

How do you lead with integrity, serve generously, and still walk someone toward a moment where they're genuinely excited about working with you?

That's the workshop.

I'm only pening 5 spots for the Mastermind this month.

If you're wondering how to turn the conversations you're already having into something sustainable... send me a DM and I'll get you the details.

P.S. I only open a limited number of spots each month. DM me now if you want one of the 5 remaining spots.

Here are three ways to "monetize your ministry"

The first is the easiest to start...
.. the third is (potentially) the most lucrative!

On Tuesday, I showed 50 pastors how to 10x their reach on Instagram in as little as 5 minutes per day.

One of them, Lee, sent me a message 24 hours later saying...

"Great masterclass yesterday! I tried what you taught and 10x my views and engagement on IG and TikTok! Thanks. That was truly an answered prayer because I was struggling on IG. Thanks brother!"

Comment "VVW26" and I'll send it over. No email required.

They said it like it was a bad thing...

"These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also." Acts 17:6

The enemies of the early church said it... and accidentally gave us one of the greatest mission statements in history.

A small group of ordinary people... no budget, no platform, no algorithm... reached so far and so fast that their critics couldn't ignore it. They didn't just fill a room. They disrupted entire cities.

And the message demanded it.

When you carry something that can actually change a life... set a captive free... restore a broken family... you don't sit on it. You find every available way to get it out.

So they went where the people were...

Marketplaces. Public squares. Trade routes. Anywhere a crowd gathered, the gospel showed up.

Fast forward to 2026 and the platforms have changed. But our mandate hasn't.

Today the marketplace is a feed. The public square is a phone screen. And the letters that cross regions are videos that get shared by people you've never met.

You have more reach available to you right now than Paul had in his entire lifetime.
The question is whether you're using it.

I'm hosting a free live workshop this Tuesday showing ministry leaders exactly how to reach more people with the gospel... in about 5 minutes a day.

Comment "IN" below and I'll send you the details.

Do you ever wish more people heard your message?

Not for ego or fame... but because you genuinely believe the Good News could change someone's life?

So why is there such a negative stigma around growing an online ministry?

The scope of the Great Commission wasn't "reach the people in your immediate vicinity and be content."

It was global. It was massive. It was intentionally ambitious.

The desire to reach more people isn't something you need to repent of.

It's something you need to steward.

Next Tuesday, I'll be teaching my students how to go viral on purpose. I'll be showing the 6 non-negotiables for online ministry and how a 5 minute routine can help them reach an additional 1 million people with the gospel in the next 30 days.

I already have about 60 people registered for this workshop, but happy to sneak another few in the back door.

Let me know if you'd like to join and I'll send you the details.

My first year in full-time online ministry, I made $20,000...
..which sounds respectable but then you look at the records and realize that I had invested $18,000 on equipment and coaching.

The reality was that my wife paid the bills.

And honsetly? We'd do it again in a heartbeat! God called us to do it and we said yes. No regrets.

Here's what I wish I knew back then.

Saying "yes" to the call of God doesn't require saying "yes" to financial strain. They're not the same thing.

Said differently, you can be faithful and pay the bills.

One of my students, Eliana, had 246 followers when we started working together. And she was able to generate $10,000 in just 45 days.

I've helped 3,000+ pastors and faith leaders reach over 500M people with the gospel and now, I'm offering personal coaching for just $7/ month.

Drop, "mastermind" in the comments and I'll send you the details.

Most ministry leaders trying to build online ministries are busy doing the wrong things.

Building a website. Designing a logo. Writing a book. Registering an LLC. Setting up an email platform they'll use "eventually."

All of it feels like progress. But the sad truth is that none of this matters.

There's a name for this: procrastination disguised as progress.

Most of what we spend time on in the early stages of building an online ministry has almost no correlation to whether the ministry actually grows.

So what does?

Three questions. That's it.

Every single day, ask yourself:

✅What can I do today to reach someone who has never heard of me?
✅What can I do today to build trust with people who already know me?
✅What can I do today to start a conversation with someone who already trusts me?

Reach. Trust. Conversation.

These are the only three things that actually move a ministry forward. Everything else is a distraction. Some of it is a productive-feeling distraction. But it's still a distraction.

The logo doesn't make someone trust you.
The website doesn't reach the person who's never heard of you.
The book that took two years to write doesn't start the conversation that leads to transformation.

Daily action inside these three categories does.

The ministry leaders I've watched grow fastest aren't necessarily the most talented or the most polished. They're the ones who got ruthlessly clear on what actually moves the needle and refused to spend energy on anything else.

That kind of clarity is harder to build than a website. But it pays off a lot sooner.

You're good at marriage counseling, leadership, addiction recovery, public speaking...

So you freeze.

You can't pick just one thing. So you never start.

Here's what nobody tells you: nobody hires a niche. They hire a person.
