KBP Pampanga Calls for Responsible Journalism as New Officers Take Oath
Angeles City – As the country gears up for another election season, the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Pampanga Chapter is calling on local journalists to uphold responsible and ethical reporting.
During its induction ceremony on March 4, 2025, at Teresa’s Café in Angeles City, the newly sworn-in officers reaffirmed their commitment to combating misinformation and ensuring that the public receives credible and accurate news.
Now entering its 52nd year, KBP remains one of the country’s most influential media organizations, representing radio and television stations across the Philippines. The Pampanga chapter plays a crucial role in advocating for ethical journalism and maintaining high professional standards in broadcasting.

In her address, Chairperson Niña Carla M. Vitug emphasized the vital role of local journalists in building an informed and empowered community. She underscored the need for media professionals to stand against fake news and misinformation, especially during the election period.
“As broadcasters, we have a responsibility to provide the public with accurate, fair, and credible information,” Vitug said. “Our role is not just to report the news but to help build a well-informed citizenry.”
