OFFICIAL STATEMENT: KBP Pampanga Condemns the Fraudulent Hijacking of CLTV36 Identity
The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) – Pampanga Chapter stands in full solidarity with our member station, CLTV36, in strongly condemning the fraudulent use of its branding, logo, and news templates by the page "Pampanga Real News."
The spread of a fabricated meme featuring a fake political quotation—cloaked in the professional aesthetics of an established news organization—is a calculated act of deception that we will not take lightly.
Our Stand Against Media Impersonation
The Weaponization of Credibility:
By hijacking the visual identity of CLTV36, the perpetrators are attempting to "borrow" the hard-earned trust of the public to propagate lies. This is a direct attack on the sanctity of the broadcast profession.
Endangering Practitioners: Misinformation of this nature puts legitimate journalists at risk of misplaced retaliation and erodes the vital relationship between the media and the community we serve.
Violation of the Broadcast Code: As a chapter, we uphold the KBP Broadcast Code, which mandates truthfulness and fairness. "Pampanga Real News" operates in total defiance of these ethical benchmarks.
A Call to Action
We echo the call of CLTV36 for the public to remain vigilant. Digital hijacking of media brands is a cybercrime. We fully support the move to involve the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group and the DICT to hold these actors accountable.
We urge all social media users: Verify the source before you hit share. Do not let your digital footprint be used to validate a forgery.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM CLTV36 ON THE FRAUDULENT USE OF OUR BRANDING BY "PAMPANGA REAL NEWS"
CLTV36 formally denounces the malicious and unauthorized use of our corporate logo and news templates by the page "Pampanga Real News." This page has recently circulated a fabricated meme featuring a fake quotation from a political figure in the City of San Fernando. We wish to clarify to the public that CLTV36 had no involvement in the creation, publication, or distribution of this content.
Our Position on This Violation:
Misappropriation of Intellectual Property:
The unauthorized use of the CLTV36 logo is a blatant attempt to clothe disinformation in the garb of credible journalism. This violates our intellectual property rights.
Assault on Media Integrity:
By mimicking our broadcast aesthetics, the perpetrators are not only attacking a political individual but are also attempting to erode the trust that the people of Central Luzon have placed in this station.
Zero Tolerance for Fake News:
We do not engage in smear journalism. We adhere to the highest ethical standards of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).
