A North-Westcoast fixture - Leland River is a DJ/Producer whose genesis as an artist and human being is deeply tied to the mycelial webs of the BC festival scene. Trusted by many of his peers and listeners for his diverse array of productions, mixes, and adept sense for playing the right music at the right time; Leland River has been given the controls at Bass Coast, Envision, CampQ, and Shambhala for 14 years in a row.

From a love of hypnotizing rhythms and the low-end of dubstep, garage, grime, breaks, dancehall, jungle and techno; mixed with a disposition for emotive ambience and a love for R&B - Leland River’s music and DJ sets fit better inside a vast large venn diagram than a box.

As the co-founder and creative director of INIT Festival, Leland River has helped bridge his love for music curation with a wealth of festival experience to help produce one of BC’s freshest and most ambitious underground electronic music festivals.

Between INIT Festival, releasing music on his label Eargot and DJing - Leland River will be a busy man moving forward into 2026 and beyond.

Pleased to welcome LERKK to the Sublimix Series for episode 171. This mix is super eclectic and gives a solid glimpse at some of his unreleased original productions, edits, and self released tunes from recent years! Hope this one resonates with ya'll!

"I wanted to use this mix as a good opportunity to rinse some different sounds I’m playing around with, as well as sharing some tunes that I’ve been digging recently. I did little to no planning on this one and sorta just went with a pretty freeform mix, so there should be a flavor for just about everyone in here. I’m really stoked on the chance to have a nice place to debut some of these tracks I’ve been sitting on (some upwards to a year or two!) to build a lil hype on them.

It's been one whole year since the launch of Heisty & Alt-1's joint alias Twombmates at Cascade Equinox '24. This year they had the opportunity to run it back with another Sublimate Showcase to close out the festival in the Cosmic Drip stage on Sunday night.

"If you were there, thank you all for getting down with us! This mix is completely live and has a couple rough moments, but we feel it is important to show the human side of djing. A perfect mix is great, but we take pride in authenticity and showcasing how we can adjust and course correct in real time. The mix is packed full of fresh releases, throwbacks, free downloads and exclusive IDs from some of our favorite artists across the globe! We tried to really tell a story with this one. Fusing elements of UK Garage, IDM, ambient, and glitch, Pink Opaque creates music that lives between movement and memory — textural, contemplative, and unmistakably personal.
