A little sneak peak at some behind the scenes of my next video. You can probably pickup on what engine it is by the video snapshoots. But a lot of work has been poured into this, and still a good chunk of clips to gather.

But, I am happy with what I've been editing so far and to many of the people who have helped with this project!

Woodstown Central 9 - Storm Clouds

Woodstown Central Railroad's 0-6-0 switcher steam engine, #9 moves forward to couple up to its train. The early morning had sprinkled rain storms that brought murky and muddy conditions but allowed for great results for smoke and steam. Taken on April 12th, 2025.

Night Shift at Ridgeley

CSX SD40 #4621 finishes its work in the yard with short cut of freight cars in the Ridgeley Yard in Ridgeley, West Virginia. On the other track, Western Maryland GP30 sits idle waiting for a crew change and new orders.

One of my favorite clips of Reading Blue Mountain & Northern 425, on its last day before being pulled out of service for its 1472 inspection. Seen here hauling a Santa Clause special at Fisher Dam Road crossing on December 18th, 2022. You can clearly see the crew is getting every last bit out of 425's boiler certification as the 4-6-2 Pacific screams past!

A unused clip of Reading Blue Mountain & Northern's famous 4-6-2 Pacific steam engine, 425, racing its way towards Tamaqua, Pennsylvania where its train awaits. Seen here charging through Zehners, PA, crossing over Wildcat Road.

Originally filmed on December 4th, 2022, as part of 425's Santa Train excursions, but also the last days of operation before going down for its FRA mandated 1472 service day inspection. News from RBM&N has hinted that 425 may be under steam near the end of 2025!

Have no fear, the end is near!

Yes, the long awaited Valley Railroad Company video is nearing completion! A lengthy battle of procrastination and "mental constipation" for finding the right sequence of clips has finally ended.

Again, no exact dates for when the video will be published, but as for now, the end is near.

TTC 4602 at Fishhook Siding

Nearing the end of the line, Toronto Transit Commission PCC 4602 passes through Fishhook Siding. Snow has blanketed the state and helps make this “Red Rocket” Toronto trolley really pop out. Yes, they were really nicknamed “Red Rockets”

Also thanks to the members of the National Capital Trolley Museum for their flexibility in allowing short impromptu photo sessions!

Points of motion

Roaring up the line, Valley Railroad Company 2-8-2 #40, wastes no time heading through Chester, Connecticut. The 2-8-2 makes quick effort of the subtle grade as it heads northeast towards Haddam, Connecticut.

Taken during the Dak Dillon Steam Charter held at the Essex Valley Railroad Company.
