SOME FEARS DO NOT DISAPPEAR
Nightmare Press is the Frightening Floyds’ horror imprint. Our mission is to bring fans of dark fiction a variety of no-holds-barred horror. We want to bring to you the kind of nightmares that you don’t wake up from, that stay embedded in your brain even when you reopen your eyes. No limits, no quarter - bring us your fears and we’ll spread them to our readers.
If you are a horror author and are interested in submitting to us, send a query in the body of the email, then attach a brief synopsis telling us the beginning, middle, and end of your book, and a sample page from anywhere in the book (like in the old days when books used to have that one page at the front of a book) to [email protected]. In the subject line, include the book title and your name. We will respond to every submission, but you must give us some time. If we are interested, we’ll ask for the first three chapters of your manuscript. If we like what we read, we’ll ask for the entire manuscript. Send everything as word doc.
For an idea of what kind of horror Nightmare Press is into, think of authors such as Clive Barker, Richard Laymon, James Herbert, Poppy Z. Brite, Anne Rice, Ramsey Campbell, Robert McCammon, Jack Ketchum, and Gary Braunbeck, just to name a few. We are open to all styles, so don’t be afraid--or, maybe you should be.
