esides in the quiet suburbs of America’s heart, Kansas City. Her dream was to become a fashion journalist and travel the world, but as she worked in event planning, she discovered a passion for all things creative and crafty, and she never looked back. Halloween but make it runway.
If we’re putting this much effort into costumes, they deserve to be seen. This whole night was pure fun, coordinating with the friend group, seeing everyone show up with their own flavor, and feeling KC’s creativity on full display. From local up-and-coming artists to Grammy winners, the energy was right the entire night. Thank you for having us !

‼️NEW
I was invited to preview night at Jade Jaguar and tried the full menu and when I tell you it 👏🏻did 👏🏻 not 👏🏻 miss.
My favorite drink was El Mundo (vodka, mango, apricot, honey, cider perfectly balanced), though truly every cocktail has its own standout personality. The sopes and guacamole were the food highlights, but you can’t go wrong with any dish.

The space feels like a piece of Mexico tucked right here in KC, warm, free, and full of soul. The vibes are easy, intimate, and welcoming.

Highly recommend!
Congratulations to , , and the entire Jade Jaguar team. You’ve built something truly special here.

The ITLF Fashion Show, hosted by , was an explosion of culture, creativity, and color. From well-established brands and stylists to rising indie designers, every collection told its own story under the lights of one of KC’s most unique HIFI lounges and nightclubs. Grateful to witness such artistry and even more grateful to be styled by Stephaun Emanuel in one of his truly iconic designs. 🫶🏼

QUIXOTIC’S DARK FOREST
Don’t let your spooky season end without one last haunting adventure. If you’re like me, jump-scare haunted houses aren’t your thing and your more of an eerie, haunting, unsettling-vibes thrill seeker will deliver.

This immersive experience by Powell Gardens and was an unforgettable journey into art, nature, and imagination. Upon arrival, we received our VIP wristbands, VIP tickets include special parking, skip-the-line access, two drink tickets, a limited-edition t-shirt, and entry to a private seating area with a bar.

We wandered through the Mystic Fair first, where local artists showcased their enchanting creations. Before venturing into the woods, we grabbed some hot cider to stay warm, a must before beginning the mile-long journey into the dark.

The artistry of the performers, paired with mesmerizing music and stunning light technology, was absolutely breathtaking. The forest came alive in ways that tested your senses, blurring the line between what was real and what wasn’t. Every detail, from the placement of lights to the sculptures and layered sounds, was meticulously crafted. The entire experience felt like stepping into a living dream both eerie and stunning.

We had an absolute blast, and this will definitely become a new spooky-season tradition. If you’re still looking for Halloween plans or craving something truly unique, don’t miss Dark Forest 10/10 recommend!Only three nights left (Oct 30, 31 & Nov 1)!

RUNWAY + RHYTHM

KC is fast emerging as a focal point for innovation and artistry in Kansas City. More and more artists are rising up to find new and exciting ways to showcase their art. I was delighted to attend Runway + Rhythm, a fashion-forward fundraiser for the Lawrence Arts Center. It was an inspiring glimpse into a fresh corner of the KC fashion scene, featuring designs I had never seen before alongside veteran creators who have truly mastered their craft.

One of my favorite aspects of the show was the spirit of collaboration between designers. Some collections were presented in partnership with other artists, creating stunning interdisciplinary moments. stood out with her unique Turkish lace techniques and beautifully vibrant patterns, paired with striking Tyvek and Japanese paper headpieces and installations making the line feel otherworldly. .by.elon also captured my attention with exquisite bridal couture; the craftsmanship, silhouettes, and intricate details of each gown were breathtaking. Paired with , a renowned hat artist whose sculptural headpieces added a one-of-a-kind flair to bridal fashion, the result was pure magic.

I left inspired by the passion of Kansas City’s designers. Nights like this are a reminder that creativity thrives where community leads.

KCFW Night Four

The final night of fashion week was a showcase of creativity at its finest, each collection completely unique and unforgettable.

The evening opened with Michael Drummond’s gothic renaissance, a darkly romantic start that set the tone for artistry and edge. MB Designs Studio followed with a fresh take on classy but never boring, proving sophistication can still surprise. Joshua J. Chris gave us a pop culture moment, reinventing the beloved Labubos and turning them into high fashion.
SKYE|AIRE pushed streetwear to a whole new level with unapologetic attitude and innovation, while Maddison Stich redefined what it means to showcase your craft. Taking his signature materials beyond bags and transforming them into vocally stunning, wearable works of art.

Closing the show, Cherish the Furs once again delivered an insanely stunning line, bold, luxurious, and full of personality.

It was an incredible season from start to finish. KCFW never gets old, there’s something so special about getting to cheer on both up-and-coming and well-seasoned artists as they share their vision with the world. To the amazing team who pours their heart into making it all happen, a big thank you! I’m so grateful for this beautiful KC fashion community. Already missing it all. 💫

We’re living in a moment where minimalism and maximalism coexist, clean silhouettes meeting architectural drama. For this look, I wanted to play in that intersection.

The base is a structured metallic mini dress that gives old-school Chanel, timeless, polished, and unapologetically feminine. To add some drama (because what is Fashion Week without drama? 😉), I layered on a fluid cape that moved perfectly with me.

I finished the look with sharp white heels to elongate the frame, my Tabby bag, and cool-toned accessories. It’s a study in balance and elegance.
