October 10, 2025

City of Mount Vernon Learns New Information Regarding Situation at Pancho’s Tacos on October 9, 2025

City leaders have contacted Congressman Troy Balderson, Senator Bernie Moreno, Senator Jon Husted, the Ohio Department of Public Safety, and the Detroit Office of Homeland Security Investigations and learned the operation at Pancho’s Tacos on October 9, 2025 was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Initial reports, including an earlier statement from the City, indicated that the operation was conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). However, the City of Mount Vernon has since received confirmation that HSI was the federal agency responsible for the operation. HSI has informed the City that the action was based on a tip related to the employment of undocumented immigrants.

The City of Mount Vernon is focused on supporting all of our citizens, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring due process. Our role is to maintain a safe and orderly community, and we believe that clear communication and cooperation between all levels of government, including federal agencies, is the best way to achieve that.

HSI has classified this matter as an ongoing criminal investigation. While the City of Mount Vernon will continue to seek further information, all media inquiries regarding the investigation should be directed to Homeland Security Investigations."

On November 6 – Common Pleas Judge Richard Wetzel (Republican) lowered Gary Tom Keesee Jr.'s bond to $1 million with a 10% provision; and Keesee's father posted bond that afternoon.

Keesee is required to visit a probation officer weekly, and wear a monitoring device. Keesee surrendered his driver's license and passport.

Keesee's lawyer was also granted another continuance – an oral hearing is scheduled for December 29 at 1:30 pm.

Excerpts from "Understanding Cults: The Basics"
Psychology Today, June 5, 2021

·Cult influence is designed to disrupt a person’s authentic identity and replace it with a new identity.

·There are many types of cults: political, religious, self-help, large group awareness trainings, mini-cults (family or one-on-one), multi-level-marketing (MLM), conspiracy theory, commercial, and labor/sex trafficking.

Have a friend or family member caught up in a black-and-white, all-or-nothing conspiracy cult, multi-level marketing, religious or political group?

To help them or yourself, you need to learn how the mind works and how people can be programmed into a destructive authoritarian cult.

The first step in keeping you and your loved ones safe is learning more about what a cult is, how they work, and the lasting serious after-effects of being involved with one.

Influence is everywhere:

-Parenting
-Relationships: friends, family, community
-Media: advertising, films, social media
-Education
-Politics
-Business
-Religion
-Psychotherapy

But influence can be enormously positive and helpful as well as detrimental. It is important to recognize the difference between due and undue influence.

Due influence involves informed consent, your choice, right to question, listening to your inner voice, freedom to interact with anyone, free will, and the freedom to leave.
However, undue influence is deceptive and manipulative. You are not allowed to question and your inner voice is suppressed. It includes isolation and control, fear and coercion, and enslavement.

Cult leaders want people who will be obedient to them and their rules. They look for ways to “break” people; they want people who will work hard and long hours for little or no pay. They want “willing” slaves.
Authoritarian religious cults often use members for labor trafficking. When the mind is controlled, a victim may appear happy and willing to suffer for the profit or benefit of the leader/group.

For members, happiness comes from "good" performance within the group, along with elitist thinking—believing they have the "truth" or the the best way of life. But strict obedience is required. They are manipulated by fear and guilt and may be stuck, with no way out!

Undue Influence does NOT erase the person’s old identity but rather creates a new identity to suppress the old one.

In an era when cult mind control is ever present and growing, it is essential to better understand the basics of cults, in order to combat their influence. The first goal in educating yourself is prevention, for yourself and others. But, if you have been affected, recovery is possible. And if your friends or family are involved in a destructive group, you can help rescue them from harm.

This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous; and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed w**ds among the wheat, and went away.

When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the w**ds also appeared.

The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the w**ds come from?’
'An enemy did this,’ he replied.

The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the w**ds, you may uproot the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest.
At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the w**ds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’"

Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the w**ds in the field.”

He answered,
“The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.

The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom.

The w**ds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil.

The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

As the w**ds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will w**d out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

·Amy Smart was indicted last month; on 1 count of health care fraud, and 12 counts of false health care statements.

Here's a bit of commentary:
Amy Smart has already pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud – and Riverside Recovery Services LLC is still open.
What's wrong here? Our elected officials don't seem to care.

I'm not sure how much of my time I'm willing to spend covering Amy Smart – The people running Knox County are just as corrupt as she is. However, I will inform you of the trial's outcome.

Riverside Recovery Services was one of the first big things that I posted about, in March of 2024.
Back then – no one else would cover it. Now the paywall media has started to, but they're not telling us anything new about Riverside Recovery Services.
