To ditch or not to ditch that is the question?

Getting feedback on my tunes has become a non negotiable part of writing music. Hearing what a producer with more experience, who's been there done that is so important. Sometimes we miss hearing things after spending hours in front of the laptop zoned in.

Let me know if you get feedback and how you action them or decide not to.

🎛️FREE INSTRUMENT🎛️

30 minutes to kill before work is enough to come up with an idea, design a few sounds or create an instrument. I've used my time creating a low mid instrument using the analog plugin in Ableton and not my much processing. The result is a dark psychedelic atmospheric instrument that you can have for free by commenting "INSTRUMENT" below 👇🏻

This video shows that even without knowing any of the tracks on the USB key, if you know basic track structure and how to use the equipment youre half way there, of course you need the killer taste 😉

I am loving it when a customer forgets their USB in the CDJ. I get to discover music and have a mess around. Today Vengaboys edit 145 BPM.

I wrote a tune, nearly finished, and sent it for feedback. Feedback was good, actionable stuff. I got in front of the laptop and then blank, no inspiration. So I started working in another project which goes against the advice I received. What would you have done?

Part 2 Refurbishing my god son Jesse's first drum kit- started out with the floor tom which was in a pretty bad way, a couple of hours work de rusting parts, fixing rosettes and legs added a fresh reso and skin.

So many Instagram's posts of music producers bragging that they wrote their breakdown using AI. Music producing is hard and can be painful but if you can't go through the pain so you deserve the rewards?
