A smash hit on the film festival circuit, "I Was a Stranger" has finally come to theaters. A powerful film about the experiences of five people caught up in the Syrian refugee crisis, it's moving, compassionate, and thought-provoking. Our editor loves it and can't stop raving about it. Silly and self-aware, "Anaconda" delivers exactly what it promises. It does so with too much profanity and violence for families, but the PG-13 rating is fair. It opens in theaters on Christmas Day.

Goofy but self aware, this well-paced action comedy manages to be funny but It's too full of profanity for family audiences.
