Beneath the Colorado sky a giant walked, and his name was Dave. Moments like this come seldom for some hunters, once for others, and never for most. Dave connected on a giant muley in SE Colorado this week. Good planning and a great stalk put Dave in a place to make a great shot on this big guy. After a two mile hike, Dave closed the distance to 90 yards to take this 8x9 non-typical mule deer that green scored at over 200 inches!

What a day! Got these two does within ten minutes of each other today. Lots of good things happening this deer season in Oklahoma. I’m really liking the GT 30, the Fiber Dot scope, and The Guerrilla Poncho. The best part, though, was my daughter being in the stand with me for this one!

The boy had a heck of a week. It started early last week when my wife sent me a picture of the boy with a squirrel. Turns out he didn’t listen to me and went trying to kill squirrels with his BB gun. He cleaned it out and decided to get another while all of the tools were still out! We cooked it up and had squirrel spaghetti. On top of that he smacked his second whitetail, a nice 9 point, later in the week! I might be raising a monster….

Optic is the Mediator. Swapped the Advocate out to give it a chance to swim. So far both are fantastic as shotgun optics.

AND THERE IT IS!! Boy did great job this morning. Oklahoma 9 point with the GT30 in 308 and the new 1-6 Fiber Dot LPVO....

Since I broke a screw insert in my Advocate prism sight from Gideon Optics, Bob sent me a replacement under their awesome warranty. That frees this one up for some absolute f**kery. I’m doing some real world hunter testing on it to see how it holds up. So far it swims well! Listen to how it went live on Tuesday!
