💪 Owners SEEING the Foot - Not Just Looking at It!

These before-and-after photos aren’t the work of seasoned HMB Pros. They were trimmed by owners at our recent 3-day workshop, many of whom had never put a rasp to a hoof before.

And yet, in just a few hours, look what they achieved 👏👏

Why? Because when guided by Mother Nature’s constants, owners begin to see the hoof instead of just looking at it.

They move past the noise of “personal preference trimming” (PPT) and instead trim to what the horse actually wants and needs.

👉They may not yet have the stamina, skillset, or years of practice of a professional - but these trims show that the basics aren’t locked behind experience.

👉Owners CAN learn to recognize the constants, respect them, and apply them in ways that transform the hoof.

What’s most inspiring is watching owners’ confidence grow as they realise:

• The hoof is not a mystery.
• Balance isn’t an opinion.
• With the right guidance, they can read what the horse is telling them.

This is why we run these workshops and just shows what a few hours of clarity and courage can do.

Because once you see the hoof for what it truly is, you can never “unsee” it.

Keep showing the world Odessa how wrong they were about “laminitis”. 👏👏❤️

We’re now 4 months in with Odessa, and the new growth coming down from the coronary band is exactly where it should be.

I’ve deliberately cropped out the toe, as too many people focus on that instead of what really matters—the foot healing ❤️‍🩹

With regular, balanced, and correct trimming, you can see the hoof rings gradually fading away as healthy, smooth hoof horn grows down the capsule.

Stop misdiagnosing X-rays! This is a hoof care problem, not a diet problem.

Sometimes it feels like we’re living in a parallel universe. WHY DON’T THEY GET THIS? 😳

A vet looks at this x-ray and declares: “P3 is rotating away from the hoof wall… and now it’s sinking and about to penetrate.”

Really? Look AGAIN!

👉 “Sinking” - NOPE. That's not what is happening - sole depth was cut away by the hoof care pro (often on vet advice) to “reduce leverage.”

In reality, they’ve removed the very vertical depth protecting P3 and then declared P3 has "sunk" to the point it is about to go through the sole.

It is not possible. This is not disease pathology - this is man-made.

👉 “Rotation” - NOPE. The heels have been jacked up to force a textbook hoof pastern axis (HPA). Pushing P3 into a hyper-positive palmar angle.

Again, man-made.

Yet the conclusion? That P3 itself is moving.

Wrong. P3 cannot sink. It cannot rotate. The illusion comes from misguided interference with the hoof capsule.

And still, in 2025, professionals misread x-rays, ignore anatomical constants, and blame the horse. Horses pay the price for these false diagnoses.

❌ This isn’t laminitis progression.
❌ This isn’t pathology.
✅ This is human interference.

They cut off the toe and let the heels rise.

When will the world stop blaming the horse (owner, diet, weather) - and start questioning the trimming?

9 heels. 9 horses. 8 different human ideas of heel height.

Only 1 heel is natural. Chosen by the horse.

The rest? Human choice.

And every one of these horses - except the natural one - had separated laminae, was in dreadful pain, was suffering, and...
.. diagnosed with... you guessed it... “LAMINITIS”

But it wasn’t diet was it?

It was the trimming. Personal Preference Trimming (PPT) to be precise.

If only horses could talk, eh?
