The early days of modern ufology seem to be a procession of characters, wild tales and messages from the stars most forgotten than the notable exceptions. Yet one man found his calling after reading the headlines about the Flatwoods Monster in his home town.

Gray Barker found himself front and centre in the late 50s and 60s as his involvement in the UFO field spanned publishing, investigating, hoaxing and writing and his legacy is still seen to this day.

In his new book, author Gabriel Mckee takes us through some of the wild situations Barker would seem to find himself in, the legacy he left and what how he still influences the field even to this day.

Thank you to Gabriel for joining me.

In his latest book, cryptozoologist Ken Gerhard looks in to a whole series of encounters with strange creatures who seem to be able to defy gravity against all common sense.

From the legendary encounters with Mothman back in the mid 1960's, the fearsome Owlman lurking in Cornwall and Spring Heeled Jack terrorising Victorian London, these strange visitors seem to appear from nowhere and leave the witnesses traumitised.

Thank you to Ken as always for his time and conversation.

Since the dawn of time, the question of what happens when we pass away has been a cornerstone of cultural development around the world and how we view ourselves and our place in the world.

In his series of books, Chris Carter argues that the case for the afterlife is not some wishy washy dream or unsubstantiated belief but a tangible and very real reality that doesn't conform to religious or paranormal belief structure.

Is it simply a matter of time before we accept the reality that death has never been the end?

A big thank you to Chris for joining me

With her first audio-book hitting the internet, I'm delighted to welcome Ruth Roper Wylde back to the show to dive in to some more experiences covered in the latest book.

We head out in the old west in the company of our good friend John LeMay as we search out some legends and lore of the frontier states.

From the blood chilling story of the Headless Horseman of Texas, some rather terrifying vampire babies, a real life vampire flap from 1938, a ghostly black dog haunting the byways of West Virginia and the queen of vengeful ghosts, La Llorona.

A big thank you to John as always for his company.

In the early 1990's, the Scottish town of Bonnybridge found itself at the centre of world wide attention due to the area becoming a UFO hot spot. Hundreds of residents saw a variety of objects in the skies all across the area and it became a magnet for investigators and television crews from across the world.

Two Scottish Ufologists, Ron Halliday and Malcolm Robinson, extensively researched these strange aerial sightings, and in their block busting book, they share not only some of the many UFO sightings, but also provide their own thoughts and conclusions as to what may have been behind this intriguing Scottish mystery.

Malcolm joins me to discuss his experiences, some of the sightings that broke the story and the ramifications on the residents of the town and why the media may have moved on, but it seems whatever is in the skies hasn't.

A big thank you as always to Malcolm for joining me.
