June 6: Prof. Naima Khatoon, Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and Prof. Mohammad Mohsin Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, extended warm greetings to the university fraternity and the nation on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

In her message, Prof. Naima Khatoon highlighted the significance of Eid-ul-Adha as a festival of sacrifice, unity, and compassion, which aligns with the values at the core of both our spiritual and educational pursuits. She urged everyone to reflect on these values and incorporate them into their daily lives during this sacred occasion.

“Eid-ul-Adha is a festival of sacrifice, reminding us of the importance of empathy and selflessness in our lives. As we gather on this auspicious occasion, let us renew our efforts toward the well-being of others, strengthening our bonds, and working for peace and harmony,” she said.

Prof. Khatoon also prayed for the prosperity and peace of the nation and expressed her belief that through collective efforts and divine blessings, AMU will continue to contribute positively to nation-building while nurturing a culture of excellence and inclusivity.

In his message, Prof. Mohammad Mohsin Khan also conveyed his heartfelt greetings and encouraged the university community to embrace the spirit of sacrifice and gratitude that Eid-ul-Adha represents.

“Eid Mubarak to the AMU family! Let us embrace the true essence of this festival—selflessness, unity, and togetherness. May this Eid bring happiness, health, and prosperity to all,” he said.

Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University, made a remarkable impression at the 25th ICADE National PG Convention, held from April 4 to 6, at Jaypee Convention Centre, Agra. The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, under the leadership of Prof. RK Tewari (Organising Chairperson) and Prof. SK Mishra (Scientific Committee Chairperson), showcased academic excellence and clinical expertise at this prestigious national event.

Among the college’s standout achievements were: Dr. Adeela Majid (JR-3), who won the First Prize in Paper Presentation for her clinical research titled “Postoperative Pain Following Single-Visit Root Canal Treatment with TruNatomy and Reciproc Blue: A Randomized Clinical Trial.”Dr. Shylaja A.R. (JR-1) and Dr. Shaiqua Parween (JR-2), who bagged the Best Poster Award for their case series on “Fragment Reattachment After Complicated Fracture of Permanent Anterior Teeth.”

Postgraduate students and faculty participated actively, promoting the college’s strong academic presence and commitment to innovation in dental sciences.

March 19: The Ali Society at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will organize its annual Majlis-e-Shahadat on March 22, 2025 (21st of Ramadan) at 7:30 PM at Baitus Salah, AMU, to solemnly commemorate the Martyrdom Anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali (AS).

Maulana Syed Jafar Rizvi from Chholas will address the gathering, offering profound insights into the enduring teachings and legacy of Hazrat Imam Ali (AS).

Prof. Mazhar Abbas, President, Ali Society, stated that the society has a long-standing tradition of observing both the birth and martyrdom anniversaries of Hazrat Imam Ali (A.S.) with deep reverence. While Ali Day is celebrated to uphold his values and principles, his martyrdom anniversary serves as an occasion for solemn remembrance and reflection on his life and sacrifices, fostering a deeper connection among students and the AMU community.
