June 6: Prof. Naima Khatoon, Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and Prof. Mohammad Mohsin Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, extended warm greetings to the university fraternity and the nation on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
In her message, Prof. Naima Khatoon highlighted the significance of Eid-ul-Adha as a festival of sacrifice, unity, and compassion, which aligns with the values at the core of both our spiritual and educational pursuits. She urged everyone to reflect on these values and incorporate them into their daily lives during this sacred occasion.
“Eid-ul-Adha is a festival of sacrifice, reminding us of the importance of empathy and selflessness in our lives. As we gather on this auspicious occasion, let us renew our efforts toward the well-being of others, strengthening our bonds, and working for peace and harmony,” she said.
Prof. Khatoon also prayed for the prosperity and peace of the nation and expressed her belief that through collective efforts and divine blessings, AMU will continue to contribute positively to nation-building while nurturing a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
In his message, Prof. Mohammad Mohsin Khan also conveyed his heartfelt greetings and encouraged the university community to embrace the spirit of sacrifice and gratitude that Eid-ul-Adha represents.
“Eid Mubarak to the AMU family! Let us embrace the true essence of this festival—selflessness, unity, and togetherness. May this Eid bring happiness, health, and prosperity to all,” he said.
