Something DESPERATELY needs to change! ๐๐ญ
We last won a league game in April when we won 3-0 against Leicester City, and since then we have secured ONE POINT from NINE Premier League games, which in Fosunโs eyes means you should have a new contract and risk the club losing millions to pay you off.
We have also sold Premier League quality players for the past 4-5 windows and replaced them with players who have little to no experience, and granted due to those none-experienced players having time to sit on the bench and learn the Premier League, some of these players have grown to be established Premier League players.
However, those players such as Pedro Neto and Rayan Aรฏt-Nouri all had someone to learn from when they all came in because Pedro was behind Diogo Jota (๐๏ธ) and Rayan was behind Jonny; unfortunately, we canโt do that anymore because selling your most influential players and the players that should be there to teach these new players the ropes leads to these new players having to be chucked in the deep end and learn to swim pretty quickly.
I think this downward spiral we have been on for the last couple of seasons unfortunately may take us down this season because letโs face it, if we donโt pick up points quickly, we could throw the magic millions Fosun panic find in January down the toilet because if we are too far adrift, nothing will save us.
What I have seen the last couple of games, even going back as far as to the friendlies, where we are playing well for 10-15 minutes and then we start playing silent, stuck in the mud, where no one seems to want to move or talk, we might just need a miracle, and I think that also comes down to the fact that weโve lost 4-5 captains, so I donโt think anyone actually knows who the leader of our team is because if it was whoever shouts the loudest, no one talks at all really; itโs just run to the halfway line, look up, see your teammates are all standing still, and pass it all the way back.
I do blame Fosun, and to people that say โWe spent ยฃ100+ million,โ I just say look at quality/experience out to in.
