The Kingdome—the world’s largest indoor arena—officially opened its doors in Davao City, drawing thousands of people for a grand celebration that showcased music, culture, artistry, and the sheer scale of a venue built to accommodate a multitude.

For those who personally witnessed the grand opening, “amazing” seemed almost too simple a word.

From the moment they stepped inside, visitors were captivated by the intricate details—from the grand interior design, elaborate ceilings and walls, beautifully finished floors, and handwoven carpets, to the now-trending Instagram-worthy comfort rooms that have become part of the many things people are talking about.

But beyond the grandeur of the architecture, there was something deeper that left many people in awe.

It was the sight of a community that, despite the challenges faced by the Kingdom of Jesus Christ and its leader, remained standing, united, and steadfast.

The Kingdome, in that sense, is more than steel, concrete, lights, and design.

It is a testament to resilience.

ASEAN-BAC Philippines Briefs First Lady on November Business Events

The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Philippines, led by Chair Jose Ma. “Joey” Concepcion III, met with First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos to discuss preparations for the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) and ASEAN Business Awards (ABA), both slated for November 12 and 13, 2026, at Okada Manila.

The meeting covered program developments, key milestones, and the potential participation of the Office of the First Lady in high-level dialogues and activities surrounding the two gatherings.

MANILA, Philippines — Maybank Halal Week 2026 culminated Friday, August 28, at the Maybank Synergy Center, featuring Filipino cultural performances and activities highlighting the country’s growing Halal industry.

Observed every fourth week of August, Halal Week aims to promote cultural appreciation and awareness of the Halal sector. Maybank Philippines introduced the initiative through employee engagement and cultural activities, with plans to expand it through partnerships with other organizations.

The closing program featured traditional Maranao dances by the Indayaw Dance Company. Halal Market Merchants received Certificates of Appreciation, while winners of Dress for Diversity Day were also recognized.

The event brought together employees, merchants, and industry stakeholders to highlight the role of Halal in the Philippines.
