NEIGHBORS ALTERCATION LED TO FATAL RETALIATION IN WARAWAR

A neighborly conflict turned fatal when a well known carpenter who doubles as a drunkard Atak Garang Lual began confronting Majok Majok Thiel at Warawar motor workshop.

After a verbal altercation between Atak Garang and his neighbor Majok Majok, the two appeared to escalate the conflict when he (Atak) started abusing Majok to why he wear Barcelona T-shirt. When Majok told him to leave, he started fighting and throwing metal (pedal) at his neighbor (Majok).

Unfortunately the metal hit another neighbor William Manut Ngor Akot who was sitting nearby on the head.

The neighbor Manut reacted angrily to such incident in a retaliatory manner. During the struggle, the neighbor Manut managed to take a hammer 🔨 and, in a self-described "blackout" state, hit and killed Atak on spot. This happened on Sunday 28 December 2025 at 4:00 pm.

Eyewitnesses expressed their sadness over this fatal act and called it a senseless fighting.

The two perpetrators are detained in prison and investigations are still going on.

Security personnel were deployed on the ground to de-escalate tension and to make sure that the families of the warring parties are living peacefully.

Local authorities have not been reached for comment as this is a developing story.
