The folks at Kemo Sabe don’t mess around when it comes to high-end Western luxury. Their Main Street shop in Park City is a magnet for those seeking custom-fitted felt hats, top-tier cowboy boots and a trove of Americana accessories. And to elevate the experience even more—the boot shop also houses a secret speakeasy! 🥃🤠

Kemo Sabe PC, which opened in 2023, fills its shop with family-owned vendors and artisan ware. But tucked away within the curated floor is an unassuming display shelf that, when touched just right, reveals the entrance to the hidden bar.

World-class musicians will make Southern Utah’s red rock landscape their stage during the Moab Music Festival next week. 🏜️🎻 The nature-meets-music event features 20 outdoor concerts in total. Take, for instance, a Grammy-nominated violinist serenading audiences in a secluded grotto, or a riverside woodwind ensemble playing to an audience floating in the Colorado River nearby.

“The music seems to articulate something in our souls when we’re in nature,” describes Elizabeth Dworkin, a representative for the event. “People come to this festival to feel something. And then they keep coming back because of what they feel, not what they know.” 💛

Self-described Zillow hound Maggie Glendenning scoured every midcentury modern home listing in St. George, hoping to find one that hadn’t been stripped of its character. But after a long and fruitless search, she had to face the facts: her ideal midcentury home simply wasn’t on the market. 😓

So, she built it herself. The result? A fresh, soulful spin on midcentury style, complete with terrazzo floors, bold color, and clever design details. This ode to ‘70s cool is a must-see—tour it at the link in our bio!

“It’s the comfort food of South India, from very traditional to more modern flavors,” said Managing Partner and beloved award-winning SLC restaurateur Lavanya Mahate during a recent food media event at SV Café. 🔥

Bustling with friends, family and business neighbors, all rubbing elbows with a few food writers and a smattering of local social media influencers, Mahate was celebrating the re-launch (and new name) of this colorful and warm space in West Jordan.

Located in a 150 year old building in the Post District, Melancholy is a wine bar with both heart and history. 🖤🍷To pay homage to the bar’s past, owners Fallan Keyser and Shaleen Bishop hand-selected every single piece of decor from vintage mirrors to repurposed furniture and old paintings—it’s like a gothic library had a love child with an eccentric botanist lab.

Rounding out the woman-owned leadership team, Sommelier Natalie Hamilton and Bar Manager Morgan Michel have worked together to create a curated, rotating wine experience. The cocktail menu also nods to seasonal changed, incorporating unique wines and sakes. And to accommodate those non-drinkers, a specialty 0% ABV beverage menu is as curated as the wine list.

My Morning Jacket took the stage at Red Butte on Monday, and instead of leaving fans wanting more as some bands might—they gave the crowd a lot more than they paid for with two-and-a-half hours of hair blowing in the wind, heart-shaped sunglasses and guitar solos. 🤘🔥

Salt Lake lost a piece of history last night, as a devastating fire swept through much of Main Street’s restaurant row. 💔 Four beloved businesses—Los Tapatios Taco Grill, Whiskey Street, London Belle Supper Club, and White Horse Spirits and Kitchen—are gone. At the site of the fire this morning, Mayor Mendenhall said that the city will offer emergency support to help these businesses while they sorted out insurance. “We want these restaurants coming back.”

Business owners are already talking of rebuilding, but now is the time to support the employees who have been displaced, and the adjacent businesses impacted by smoke and water damage. We’ve seen the loss to the community that comes with a fire or other disaster. Main Street, we’re with you. 🫶

Langhorne Slim and Rayland Baxter co-headlined an unusually intimate concert at The Commonwealth Room on Friday. While it wasn’t a sold-out crowd, it proved to be an immediately devoted one. 🫶

Slim opened the night and immediately fell into his role as a poetic troubadour, offering stories and songs about the crumbling state of the world, politics, and even the afterlife. Baxter offered an incredible 13-song set of originals before inviting Slim back for one more. The two joined forces on Slim’s “The Way We Move”—one and done, leaving the audience wanting infinitely more—but nobody left unhappy.
