Hello! I’m the Rachel behind Rachel DeMeyer Photography. I’m an American who has been living in Scotland for the past 6 years. I grew up in Kansas rooting for the Chiefs (before it was cool) and climbing hay bales for fun. I dabbled in photography with 4H growing up but got into it properly after taking engagement photos for some friends. I had to give up my business for visa reasons when moving to Scotland initially, but I’m excited to finally be picking it up again!
I love connecting with people through photography and it is never lost on me how much an honour it is to join couples through the engagement process and on their special day. My aim is to capture moments as they unfold organically, both the big ones and the little ones behind the scenes. Couples and weddings are my favourite things to photograph but I’m open to any type of shoot - drop me a line!
