A while ago, together with .agency and a group of women artists, we created a pro bono project built around a simple idea: to tell a story without causing harm.

These animations are meant to feel like a safe space and we hope they do.

🌳 My Lovely Planet - this project began with a challenge: translating an existing 3D character into a 2D, hand-drawn style.

The goal was to stay visually faithful to the original design, while simplifying shapes, colors and details to make the character work smoothly in animation.

From storyboard and animatic to final compositing, the entire production was completed in 11 weeks. The animation was drawn frame by frame, focusing on soft, dynamic movement and clear, readable poses.

This post presents selected elements of the process — from character design and turnaround to animation and final shots.

A longer version of our Prodigy game teaser, combining animatic moments, production shots and the final animation to show how the project evolved during production.

As animation experts, we embraced this exhilarating challenge, mastering the art of pacing to hold the viewer’s attention until the very last second.

🎮 Prodigy — game teaser

At one key stage of production, our team explored multiple visual directions and animation solutions before moving into the final stage.

As our Art Director put it: “This stage became our playground for testing different ideas and approaches. With a strong set of concepts in place, we were able to smoothly transition into the final animation — making sure every decision served the story.”

In collaboration with Tiger Baby and Zoya Akhtar, we created the opening titles for The Archies, a Netflix produced musical set in a retro-inspired world ✨

The goal was to combine vintage aesthetics with contemporary lightness and energy. Illustration and animation evolved in parallel, shaping a cohesive visual language built around beauty collage and dynamic cut-out techniques.

Using footage from the series’ photo shoots, we carefully cut out character poses — head turns, hand gestures — constructing compositions driven by rhythm, movement and stage-like finesse.

The result is an opening sequence we internally described as “Netflix glamour vintage” — balancing nostalgia with modern motion design.

From first sketches to final screen magic 🐄✨

This project was one of the biggest production challenges we’ve faced — tight deadline, evolving concepts, high expectations. Finding the right aesthetic took time.
We explored multiple visual directions — from slightly more mature concepts to the final hand-drawn, colorful world.

But, we fell in love with our main “cowsie” from the start 🖤🤍
Her final look subtly reflects Client’s brand identity, and together with her four friends she brings personality and charm into every scene.

For us character design is about how it moves, feels and lives on screen. 💜

Not every explainer needs to be packed edge to edge with information.

Stylized characters and a selective color palette helped us keep everything visually cohesive and aligned with the client brand.
Clean illustration. Strong shapes. Thoughtful rhythm.

Shaping the world of Dragon Island 🐉
A process-focused edit combining final animation with animatic snapshots.

This edit blends final animation shots with animatic moments, giving a closer look to how the story, rhythm and energy evolved during production.

Working on this project meant building a vivid, action-packed world filled with dragons, wizards and sweeping island landscapes - all while carefully shaping movement, pacing and visual flow.

It’s a glimpse into how our animation team approaches process: testing, refining and making creative decisions that bring the world to life in motion ✏️

We’re sharing a closer look at the WIP stage of our animation project 🤩

This phase is where character design and animatic evolve into motion - through testing timing, movement and transitions, frame by frame.

Animation for Endless Computers tells the story of three friends working on the early concept of a video game.
The challenge was fitting all those ideas into just 30 seconds but stylization helped us get there! 🙏

We leaned into a comic book vibe, designed already at the storyboard stage. It allowed us to compress scenes, boost the action and keep the story clear and readable ✏️
We started with character design, stylized, but still human and relatable, especially for younger viewers. Dynamic, slightly geometric shapes became the foundation for the visual style and worked naturally with the comic look 💜

🚢 Here’s a closer look at our animation process for Universal Export.
In this project, calm storytelling took the lead over fast-paced action.

We focused on refined, clear and fluid animation with thoughtful transitions and carefully placed narrative beats 💜

Characters and VFX were animated frame by frame,
while camera movement and object animation were added in compositing and MOHO to bring extra depth and polish to the final piece.
