After working as a flooring installer for 25 years, Dan Lerach had the chance to buy a long-standing, successful business in his hometown of Fridley. “I took over Big Bob’s in 2025 and changed the name,” he says. “Moore Flooring is a play on words because we’re on East Moore Lake Drive on Moore Lake.

Dan had worked for Big Bob’s, which had been in business since 2001, in the past and always appreciated how it operated. So, while he changed the name, modernized the logo, and made it feel homier by adding a couple of plants and changing the overall layout, it was important to him to keep that small-business, local-store feel.
